Ferncliff Chronicles
Chapter 8-The Borg
Ferncliff
Julie's Room
4pm
March 6, 1999
Julie was lying on her bed watching the ending credits of Star Trek: The
Next
Generation.
She then shook her head and said outloud, ''Poor Captain Picard, being
captured by
the borg!''
Suddenly her door swung open violently and Jason Morgan appeared wearing
a
T-shirt
and Shorts.
''How did you get in here? And why are wearing summer clothes in the middle
of
winter.
Are you stupid or something, you could get pneumonia!'' Julie sacrastically
as she
got off
the bed, shut off the TV, and walked toward him.
''No, I don't feel the cold,'' Jason said staring right directly at her.
''Don't feel the cold!!!!! Are you a borg or something?'' Julie chuckled.
''Who are the borg?'' Jason said looking very confused.
''Nevermind, I don't have the whole day to explain who the borg are. Why
are you
here?
And how did you get past security?'' Julie asked.
Jason smirked, ''They just let me in Julie, don't ask me how.''
''Are going to answer my second question? Or it too much strain on your
brain?''
Julie
asked sarcastically.
Jason looked lost for few minutes as he stared at the ceiling.
''Jason, did you hear me?'' Julie inquired shaking
his arm.
''Oh, I was just wondering what Michael is up to right now. I hope that
AJ isn't
reading
those lame Dr. Suess books to him. I was hoping by now to start reading
the
Webster
Dictionary to Michael,'' Jason said wishfully.
''Jason, tell me why you are here, or I insist that you leave my apartment
pronto,''
Julie
said angrily.
Jason blink for a minute, then stared at her again, ''I heard from Karen
a couple of
weeks
ago, that you were pregnant. Unfortunately, I have been busy these last
couple of
weeks
and not able to come here and help you.''
''But..but...I am not.,'' Julie stuttered.
Jason just continued to stared at her and Julie felt nervous and said nothing
more.
Then he spoke coldly, ''Silence, Dr. Devlin! I have a proposal for you
that will
improve
your life greatly. Since you have been declared mentally insane in the
state, as
well as
becoming pregnant. I know you don't have many choices, and I'm sure Frank
is
already
threatening to sue for full custody of your child. But don't worry, I have
a cunning
plan that
is guarantee to work and Frank will have no part in your baby's life.!''
''And what is your brilliant plan, Anger Boy?'' Julie asked rolling her
eyes.
''First of all, I will be the baby's father not Frank. The story will be
that one night
when Frank
was working, we met at Jakes and had a drunken one night stand. I can
arrange
the blood tests to work in my favor, so Frank will never know the truth,''
Jason
said showing
no expression on his face.
''Frank is not stupid. He knows that I would never cheat on him just like
he would
never
cheat on me,'' Julie said confidently.
''Oh, but you are very wrong. Believe me, he will buy this story because
everyone
know that
I never lie,'' Jason said smugly.
''Not anymore, after everyone found you lied about being baby Michael's
father for
the past
year. Frank will know this a lie right away since your honest reputation
is now
shot,''
Julie protested.
''I am Michael's father, that isn't a lie!'' Jason glared at her coldly.
''Whatever, you lost him now, since he is living at the Quartermaine mansion.
As
for Frank,
he loves children and would treat our child very well,'' Julie said warmly.
''I wouldn't trust that druggie to raise a plant. Are you aware he stalked
Eve
Lambert
thinking she was General Homicide Killer. Besides that he is greedy, selfish,
and
only cares
about himself. And forget about the rest of his family, your child will
be messed
up for
life if he or she lives with them. Joe is a hothead and would probably
force the child
to become
a doctor. Your child would have no freedom and would be miserable living
with
Joe. As
for Mary, just look at her raising Frank and Joe for example. That woman,
is
mean spirited
and judgmental. That child would be criticized for taking a drink of milk.
Julie,
I promise you, that when I raise Michael that I will love him and let him
become his
own person,''
Jason said warmly.
''Oh, Anger Boy, are we talking about my child or about the child you stole!''
Julie
asked
angrily.
Jason stared coldly at her which made Julie very nervous in the room.
Then he spoke calmly, ''I didn't steal Michael but promised Carly that
I would take
care of
him. By the way, Michael doesn't belong to anyone. Not me, Carly, AJ, and
especially
the Quartermaines!
''So, you expect my baby to raise him or herself. That's silly,'' Julie
scoffed.
''Of course not, but since your baby will be so little and helpless, I
will have to take
her or
his needs for now. But when he or she gets older, I will let him or her
make his own
choices,''
Jason said confidently.
''Liar!'' Julie shouted.
''What did you just call me?'' Jason said coldly.
''Liar! You lost your integrity the moment you became entangled with Carly
Benson.
You lied just to keep AJ and Quartermaines away from Michael. You say you
will
let Michael
makes him own choices but yet you won't let him know his family. You are
nothing
but a big fat liar to me. You took Michael's choices away, when you decided
he
couldn't
know any of Quartermaine family. That will never happen to my child,''
Julie
retorted
back.
''Your wrong!'' Jason glared at her, ''You don't know how bad those Quartermaines
are!!''
''Bad, how would you know? Did you ever bother to get to know them ever.
But
Carly
on the other hand, is the worst influence on her child. I swear that Nanny
is more of
a mother
than she ever be. Why don't you compromise with your brother and raise
the
child
together. Toss Carly to wolves, and you will be much happier!'''' Julie
smirked.
''My brother, I have no brother!'' Jason yelled.
''Hey, Anger boy, be grateful you have a brother and a family that loves
you. My
brother
is dead, and I will never have a second chance with him. Can't you see
that both
you and
AJ can give plenty of love to Michael,'' Julie said tearfully.
Jason looked confused for a few minutes, then he smiled, ''Ah, you sound
like
Robin
before I banished her. But I am beginning to realize finally that she was
right about
Carly
all along''
''That's the spirit! Oh, by the way, I'm not pregnant. I just made it up,
so Frank
would
help me out break of jail,''
''Oh, okay,'' Jason said with a blank expression on his face, ''You were
honest with
me, so
the matter is completely forgotten now. So, have a nice day, I have mobsters
stuff..
I mean,
business things to take care of.''
With that he knocked on the door loudly and the guard let him out.
Afterward, Julie smirked, ''Well, at least Jason the Borg didn't say to
me: That
freedom
is irrelevant, self-determination is irreverent. You must comply.''
Then she chuckled and turned on TV on.
Chapter 9-St. Patrick's Day
Ferncliff
Julie's Room
March 17, 199
5:15 pm
Julie was brushing her teeth when she heard someone open the door. She
assumed
it was
Dr. Rimmer so she thought nothing of it, and she continued what she was
doing.
Suddenly she overhead a familiar voice say, ''And for the bonus part of
your St.
Patrick's
Day tour, we will visit the current resident of Dr. Julie Devlin.''
''Oh, is she here?'' some woman asked.
''No, I think she must be in a session or something,'' the man replied.
Julie wondered what was going on, and quickly finished up brushing her
teeth. Then
she tore
out of the bathroom, and to her shock, she saw Frank talking a large group
of
people
by her bed.
''Frank! You finally came to visit me!! But who are all these people?''
Julie asked
with a
curious look on her face.
''Oh, they are part of tour group from the Julie Devlin Museum. We have
a special
discount
offered only to groups in honor of St. Patrick's day,'' Frank said smiling.
''Nice to finally meet you,'' the group said excitedly.
Then they started to take their cameras out and began to take pictures
of her and
her room.
''Quit trying to pull a fast one on me. I know why you are really here,''
Julie said
coldly.
Frank pulled Julie aside and whispered, ''Just give me a minute, then we
can talk.''
Julie nodded, then Frank spoke loudly, ''Ok, everyone. Our group is now
concluded.
Why don't you head to the bus and I will be there shortly.''
Afterwards Frank said calmly, ''Julie, I don't know you know what the problem
is. I
promise
you will get your share from the profits from the museum as outlined from
the
contract
your signed.''
''Oh, you better give me my cut or I will have Lee sue you. But that isn't
it!'' Julie
said angrily.
''Oh, then you are mad about me and Chris getting the DL56 money. Sorry,
Julie,
your Dad
had never had a chance to file that patent because you murdered him. Too
bad,
those
are the breaks,'' Frank said smugly.
''Oh, we can discuss DL56 another time. But I assure you I am ticked about
what
you are
attempting to do to me now,'' Julie snapped.
''Then what?'' Frank said puzzled.
''Oh, don't try to fool me with that innocent look. I know you are only
here to steal
the gold
that I received from the Leprechaun this morning!'' Julie sneered.
''What?'' Frank said in shock.
''Oh, don't try to be coy with me, Frank. I know why you haven't drop by
to see
since
I moved here. It is because you have been spying on me this whole time.
I found the
bug that
you planted underneath my coffee table. See,'' Julie said grabbing a small
black
object
off her bed.
Frank looked at it closely, then chuckled, ''Julie it's a button.''
''Liar!'' You must of paid an orderly to hid under my coffee table when
I wasn't
around.
But I was smarter and found it. I know you overheard me talking to Leprechaun
this morning,
after I found his pot of his gold at the end of the rainbow,'' Julie yelled.
''Julie, I would never steal your gold. Especially after you shot me in
my leg, last
year,''
Frank said nervously.
''Oh, that little incident, wouldn't stop someone as ruthless as you. I
know you did
it, just
confess it,'' Julie retorted.
Frank knew it was hopeless to argue with crazy Julie`and decided to play
along with
her.
''Your right, Julie, you caught me. I plotted to steal your gold but your
brilliance
saw right
threw my evil plot. I conceded, keep your stupid pot of gold,'' Frank smirked.
''Frank, you were worthy adversary but you in the end I always win. Don't
you ever
forget
it!'' Julie grinned evilly.
''Bye, Julie, have a nice St. Patrick's Day,'' Frank said quickly.
Then he knocked and quickly ran out the room.
Once outside in the hallway, Frank sighed a deep breath of relief,''Whew,
I think
Julie
had her fill of Lucky Charms. She is completely bonkers.''
Meanwhile Julie had a mischievous look on her face and walked to her bed.
Then
she kneeled
and pulled a empty black crock pot underneath her bed.
Then she chuckled, and smirked,''Your pathetic attempt to rob me of wealth
failed,
Frank.
This pot of gold is all mine!''
Then she smirked and pushed the crock pot underneath the bed again.

Chapter 10-April Fool's Day
Ferncliff
Visitor's Room
April 1, 1999
9 AM
Julie stared out the window as she waited for Chris Ramsey. She wondered
why he
was coming
to see her today. Suddenly, the door opened and she knew she would get
her
answers
now.
''Julie, it is so nice to see you,'' Chris said pleasantly as he walked
toward her.
''Really, I'm suprised you have the time to see me at all. You know because
all that
money
that you and Frank received from DL56 and Lance, shouldn't counting your
money
right
now,'' Julie said sarcastically.
''Julie, you shouldn't be so bitter. Just because we filed for the patent
before your
late father,
is no reason to be mad at me,'' Chris said calmly.
''Get the point, and tell why you are here,'' Julie snapped.
''Julie, I have some news regarding Greg Cooper,'' Chris said seriously.
Julie felt her body tense up when she heard his name, ''What about him?''
''He confessed to all the General Homicide Murders. Apparently, he brainwashed
you in
believing that thought you killed your Dad, Grace, Jake, Dr. May, and John.
You
are innocent
Julie. Is that wonderful,'' Chris exclaimed.
''No, I committed those murders. I remember every detail like it was yesterday,''
Julie
said confidently.
''That is because he planted those images in your head to make you think
you were
the murderer.
Pretty sick, to make you take all the blame,'' Chris said angrily.
''And how did he exactly escape and commit those murders. The security
at his
prison
is very tight,'' Julie questioned.
''Oh, he had a friend called Bart Simpson help him,'' Chris said casually.
''Bart Simpson!! Julie looked puzzled.
Chris smiled, ''He had poster of him in his room. He had dug a tunnel behind
it. He
would
sneak out, committed the murders, then return to prison later. Pretty clever
wasn't
it.''
''You know this story sounds familiar for some reason. I just can't think
of what it
might
be right now,'' Julie said looking confused.
''Julie, that's not important. Aren't you happy that you are going to free
soon,''
Chris
grinned.
''Yes, I am. This day seems to good to be true. I am innocent after all.
This is
great...''
Julie said then trailed off into deep thought.
''Julie, Julie, are you alright,'' Chris asked.
''Shawshank Redemption! That where I heard the story before. Is this some
of
joke,
Ramsey,'' Julie sneered.
''Why yes it, Julie!! Did you forget what today was? It April Fools Day!!!
I wonder
how long
it would take you to figure out. I really had you going there that Greg
committed
the General
Homicide Murders by himself. You would have to be on drugs to believe that
lame story,''
Chris chuckled.
''Very funny, Chris. How about this joke. How about I cut down to size,
just like in
Kevin's
story. I never had the time before, but hey my schedule is free here at
Ferncliff,''
Julie
sneered.
''Julie, it was only a joke,'' Chris said looking very scared.
''Ha! April Fool's Days to you! Now, get lost before I kill you for real,''
Julie
smirked
evilly.
Chris didn't say any more, but ran quickly to the door and pounded loudly.
After he left, Julie chuckled, ''Jerk, he almost had me believing that
I was
innocent.''

Chapter 11-The Game
Ferncliff
Visitor's Room
March 26, 1999
11 AM
Julie looked at the clock on the wall and realized she had been waiting
over an hour
for Dr.
Kevin Collins.
She sighed a deep breath, and said angrily, ''I've been stood up by my
own shrink.
I'm out
of here!''
She then walk toward the door and pounded loudly.
''What is it?'' the guard said cautiously as he slowly opened the door.
''Take me to my room!!'' Julie ordered.
The guard rolled his eyes and began to escort her down the hallway. Suddenly,
they
heard
laughter coming from Dr. Rimmer's office.
''What's going on?'' Julie asked.
''Do you want to see the doctor?'' the guard inquired.
Julie nodded and he opened the door slowly.
To Julie's amazement she saw Dr. Rimmer, Kevin, Victor, Mac, Felicia, and
Laura
playing
a board game on a round table.
''Kevin! Why didn't you show up for our session? Why are all these people
here,
especially
Felicia. A word of advice, please don't eat her special recipe of muffins,''
Julie
said sarcastically.
Kevin looked puzzled for a moment, then replied, ''Yeah, whatever..Anyways,
we
will start
our session after we finish Port Charles Clue.''
''Ok,'' Julie looked confused.
''Felicia, it is your turn,'' Laura smiled.
Felicia looked at Mac and said, ''OK. Do you have Ryan Chamberlin in the
lounge
with the
lead pipe?''
Mac nodded and silently handed her a card under the card.
''Port Charles Clue! What idiot thought of this idea? Julie exclaimed.
Victor wheeled his chair around, and grinned, ''I'm that idiot and believe
me this
version
of Clue is already a big hit!! Parkers Brothers authorized me to have our
Port
Charles
version of the game. And I will receive 40% of the profits. Dr. Rimmer
expressed
interested
in my game when Kevin told him about it recently. We decided to play one
game
before
Julie's session, I guess we were having so much fun that Kevin forget to
leave.''
Victor paused then continued, ''The game remains the same but I have changed
the
characters.
We have Ryan Chamberlain, Sonny Corinthos, Jason Morgan, Helena
Cassadine,
and Julie Devlin.''
''Why didn't you include Eve Lambert? She always lying about her alibis?''
Julie
sneered.
''Julie, sit down or we will send you to your room,'' Dr. Rimmer said sternly.
Julie became quiet and sat down on antique chair that was near the table.
''Laura, roll the dice,'' Victor said pleasantly.
Laura picked them up and threw them on the board. A second later she moved
her
token
and entered a room.
She smiled, then said, ''Ok, Kevin. Do you have Helena Cassadine in the
library
with the
revolver?
Kevin nodded and silently handed her a card.
''Thanks Kevin. Victor, go,'' Laura stated.
Victor picked up the dice and shook then them on the board. Then he moved
his
tokens
and entered a room.
''Dr. Rimmer. Do you have Jason Morgan in the kitchen with the knife,''
Victor
asked.
Dr. Rimmer said, ''No, go Kevin.''
Kevin grinned and said, ''I'll stay in the ballroom since my token was
moved there
by Dr.
Rimmer. But I will be making my guess now.''
''Ok,'' the group said at once.
''Julie Devlin in the ballroom with the rope!'' Kevin said smugly.
Then he opened the envelope and smirked,''Read them and weep.''
He proceeded to lay out the cards on the table.
''Ah, I knew it was Julie and the rope but couldn't figure which room,''
Dr. Rimmer
remarked.
''I was positive about the room, but the weapon and person stumped me,''
Victor
said puzzled.
''Hey, I thought it was Sonny!'' Mac chuckled.
''I was positive it was Helena,'' Laura remarked.
''I thought it was Ryan. Who had him?'' Felicia asked.
''I did!'' Kevin smiled.
''Shut up! Shut up! You are all giving me a headache! And your information,
I didn't
murder
that person. It was Eve Lambert!'' Julie yelled.
''Julie, this is just a game. Nobody really got killed.'' Kevin said in
a soothing voice.
''Liar! And it is all Victor's fault. Why did you let him bring that stupid
chart here!''
Julie
said coldly.
''What chart?'' Victor looked lost.
''The General Homicide Chart. You drag it everyone you go!'' Julie shouted.
Then she lunged toward him and started to strangle his neck with her own
bare
hands.
''Help!'' Victor managed to choke out.
''Do something!!'' Kevin hollered.
Dr. Rimmed motioned to the guard and immediately pulled Julie off Victor.
''I'll get you one day, I swear!'' Julie yelled as the guard dragged her
out of the
room.
''Well, that was interesting,'' Kevin said raising his eyebrows.
''I guess you won't having a session today will you,'' Victor commented.
Kevin smirked then whole group burst out into laughter.
3 hours later
Solitare Room
Julie stared at the ceiling from the ground and muttered, ''Damn that Victor!!
Once
again
he figured out I was responsible for a murder. I wish I could just remember
who I
had killed.''
Then she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Chapter
12 - Dial T For Trouble
Ferncliff
Pay Phone
Area
April
9, 1999
6pm
Julie had
just finished talking to Lee on the phone when she noticed that her guard
had
fallen
asleep on the sofa near by. She smirked and thought to herself that for
once she
would
have some fun in this boring place. She picked up the phone and dialed
using her
phone
card.
''Hello!''
the other voice said pleasantly.
''I know
what you did last summer!!'' Julie said in a deep voice.
''Who
is it?? I demand you answer me at once!! Don't you know that this Edward
Quartermaine
whom you are talking to?'' he said angrily.
Julie
remained silent and said nothing.
Edward
said coldly, ''If you think you can blackmail me, you have messed with
the wrong
man
and furthermore......
Please, excuse me for one moment.''
Julie
overhead Edward put the phone down then yell loudly, ''Alan, who did you
accidentally
murder this time?''
''Father,
why it is when someone dies, you automatically blame me?'' Julie heard
Alan
shout.
''In the
den now!'' Edward growled.
Then there
was silence in the room as Julie waited for Edward to return.
Finally
she heard Edward picked up the phone again.
Then he
spoke sharply, ''Listen, whoever you are. I don't care what you think you
have got
on my
family, missy! Your threats are meaningless and I refuse to pay you a dime!''
''Got
ya!,'' Julie laughed then hung up the phone.
Afterwards
Edward slammed the phone down in disgust and Alan asked, ''Who was it?''
''Nothing
more than one of those prank callers. Come on, let's forget it and have
some
supper.
We can't have Lila waiting forever, can we!'' Edward said angrily.
''Ok,''
Alan snickered.
Meanwhile,
Julie was dialing another number when the man answered, ''Pizza 73, how
may
I help
you.''
''I would
like to order 80 large pepperoni pizzas. My name is Alexis Davis and I
live on
Spoon
Island,'' Julie said warmly.
''Ok,
I will repeat your order. Alexis Davis, 80 large pepperoni pizzas, and
the location is
Spoon
Island,'' The man repeated back to her.
''That's
correct, could you make sure the pizza are delivered by 8pm,'' Julie smirked
to
herself.
''No problem,
Miss Davis. The pizzas will be delivered on time as you requested,'' The
man replied
as he hung up the phone.
Afterwards
Julie snickered and looked at her paper and said, ''Won't Stefan be surprised
when 80
pizzas show up right in the middle of the annual Cassadine family stockholder
meeting!''
A few minutes
later, Julie dialed quickly again, and said pleasantly, ''Jasper Jax. My
name
is Dr.
Jennifer Hammon. I have some news that will interest you. We found your
finance, a
Miss Brenda
Barrett, alive in a Beverly Hills
Hospital.
She had lost her memory, and thought her name was Gina these past few months.
But last
night, she hit her head in a accident and recalled everything. She has
been under
my care
since then. Please come at once, she wants to see you right away!!''
''Oh,
my gosh. This is a miracle. Thank you!!! Thank you very much!'' Jax said
excitedly
then the
phone went dead.
''Sucker!!''
Julie laughed wickedly.
Then she
smirked and grab the phone and pressed the numbers for the next person
''Hello,
this is Victor Collins. How may I help you,'' he replied casually.
''Hi,
this Julie Devlin, remember me? I was wondering if I might borrow a pen?''
Julie
sneered.
''Ah...We
only use pencils at the lighthouse.... Sorry, but you must have of dialed
the wrong
number,''
Victor said quickly, then hung up the phone.
Julie
burst laughing and muttered, ''This is so much fun. But I am not finished
yet!''
She seized
the phone and entered the numbers.
''Port
Charles Herald, Sarah speaking?'' she said cheerfully.
Julie
then said calmly , ''Hello, Sarah. This is Julie Devlin and I demand a
retraction on
the articles
regarding me. I am not a serial killer but a cereal killer. Let me spell
for it out
for you.
C E R E A L. In fact, last week I was convicted for killing my latest victim
by
using
a box of Honey Nut Cheerios and ..''
Suddenly
the phone went dead, and Julie noticed that the guard was coldly glaring
at her.
''Was
I too long on the phone?'' Julie said innocently.
''You
are going to your own room right now, and I will report your phone abuse
to Dr.
Rimmer,''
the guard sneered.
''Whatever!
At least today I managed to reach out and touch some one,'' Julie smirked
as
they left
the pay phone area.

She then

Finally
the door swung wide open and she exclaimed, ''Well, it's about damn time
you
arrived
here, Helena. Who is this man with you?''
''I am
Caesar Faison,'' he said kissing her hand.
''Helena.
I assume you got my letter yesterday,'' Julie said graciously.
''Of course,
I did. And I might I add that you are the only person in Port Charles who
was
smart
enough to figure out that Lucky Spencer isn't dead. And by deducting that
he would
never
been stupid enough to allow himself die by candles burning in his room!
I have
decided
to reward you by coming to Ferncliff and let you know that your instincts
are right
on target
about Lucky!'' Helena said proudly.
''Why
thank you, Helena, I am so honored to be included in your plot against
the Spencers.
But why
is Faison here?'' Julie asked puzzled.
''Oh,
since you were so interested in Lucky's fake death. Faison is here to tell
the newest
adventures
of Lucky Spencer?'' Helena explained.
''Oh,
goody, please go into detail,'' Julie said excitedly.
''Ok,
Today I had a little fun with young Spencer?'' Faison smirked, ''And this
my day...''

Faison's
Secret Hideout
9am
Lucky was
playing chess on his computer when without warning the power went off in
his
room.
''Hey,
whoever you are, turn on power back on now! It's bad enough you are holding
me
hostage,
but do I sit in the dark too!!'' Lucky yelled.
Meanwhile
Faison was in TV room rolling on the floor laughing hysterically.
12pm
''Here
is your food,'' a guard said handing Lucky a plate with a cover on top
of it.
''Gee,
thanks!'' Lucky said sarcastically.
''It's
probably poisoned!'' Lucky said as opened the lid.
''I assure
you that your food is edible!'' the man said confidently.
''Why
is my baseball hat on this plate?'' Lucky asked in amazement.
''You
said you rather eat your hat than our food. You got your wish! Enjoy! The
Master
says there
is salt in cardboard if you want to use it to add extra flavor in your
lunch,'' the
man snickered.
Then Lucky
threw his hat at the door as the guard was quickly ran out of the room.
Back at
the Control Room, Faison was chuckling evilly at the TV screen while eating
his

food.

''I knew
I could find a way to open this computerized door! Lucky grinned as the
door slide

him.
He quickly
ran out excitedly and said to himself, ''No one can keep a Spencer down.''
''No one
but Ceasar Faison, that is!'' A man said while blocking his way.
''Didn't
you kill Anna and Robert?'' Lucky said angrily.
''Isn't
this any way to greet your host? No, I didn't murder anyone. I am so misunderstood
by the
whole Port Charles Community. You should tell your father that he shouldn't
spread
malicious
rumors about me around town. Now I want you to head back to your room and
think
about how your cruel words have hurt me deeply. I expect a written apology
from you
later,''
Faison said coldly.
Then he
left the room quickly looking rather mad.

business elsewhere. Goodnight Miss Devlin, I have really enjoyed our visit
tonight,''
Helena
said shaking her hand.
''Same
here, It was nice meeting you tonight,'' Faison smiled.
Then they
knocked on the door and departed the room.
Afterwards
Julie said smiling, ''What kind people!! I was sure Lucky to meet them
today. I
hope they
come back and visit me soon!''

14-The Hunt
Ferncliff
Visitor's
Room
April
21, 1999
1:30pm
Karen
Wexler sat waiting for Julie to arrive in the visitor's room. She didn't
know what to
expect
from Julie especially after their last meeting at the Port Charles Police
Station
ended
in disaster. She was surprised when Dr. Rimmer called and told her at GH
that Julie
wanted
to see her. But now she was really curious about what Julie wanted. Slowly,
she
heard
the door creak open and she noticed Dr. Rimmer walking inside in the room.
''Where
Julie? I was supposed to meet her here about 5 minutes ago?'' Karen asked
with
a worried
expression on her face.
''We have
had major problems with her all morning, Dr. Wexler. For you see, she refuses
to leave
her room until she finds a certain lost item!'' Dr. Rimmer reported.
''What
did she lose?'' Karen asked.
''I don't
know, but she requested you to come here and help her search. That's why
I called
you today,''
Dr. Rimmer explained.
''I'm
sorry, I couldn't come till late this afternoon. I was busy at the ER all
morning, and
couldn't
get away till now. But I will certainly help Julie find whatever she lost
because we
used to
be friends. I still care about her despite her being a serial killer, Dr.
Rimmer,''
Karen
said seriously.
''Good!
Let's go!'' Dr. Rimmer smiled
A few minutes
later
Julie's
Room
As they
entered her room, Karen was shocked to see the room totally torn apart.
''She
must been taking lessons from Frank,'' Karen muttered as she step over
some
clothes
on the floor.
''The
orderlies have been frighten to go inside ever since she threw a crock
pot at one of
them earlier
this morning,'' Dr. Rimmer whispered.
''A crock
pot?? Nevermind... I don't want to know how she managed to have one in
her
possession...Where
she is?'' Karen asked quietly as she looked around the room.
''I see
her feet sticking out of bed. See, Dr. Wexler!'' Dr. Rimmer whispered.
''Oh,
your right. I must say, I love those sneakers she is wearing,'' Karen grinned.
''I got
them at payless shoe stores. They offer a reasonable discount for bunk
purchases of
sneakers.
We really saved alot during our last shopping trip for the Ferncliff institution,''
Dr. Rimmer
commented.
''That's
wonderful!'' Karen smiled.
''Would
you stop talking about my shoes!!'' Julie shouted as she came up from underneath
the bed.
''Julie,
I came to her to help you.'' Karen said nervously.
''Well,
you took your sweet time getting here this morning, didn't you. Dr. Rimmer
called
you about
9am this morning!! Why didn't you come immediately? Were you and Joe
making
out on the roof again!'' Julie sneered.
''Julie!
That was totally uncalled for! Dr. Wexler had a busy schedule at GH this
morning,
but came
as soon as she could,'' Dr. Rimmer said sternly.
''Whatever!
Just leave us alone now, so we can search!'' Julie said coldly.
''Ok,
Julie. If you need me, just beep my pager...Karen, it was a pleasure to
meet you,''
Dr. Rimmer
said pleasantly as he departed the room.
''Finally!
I thought he would never leave! Karen, I want you to search the closet
again. I
know my
Easter Egg Basket is here somewhere!'' Julie said frantically.
''Uh,
Julie, Easter was over on April 5. You probably ate all your treats and
forget,'' Karen
smiled
weakly.
''No!,
I wasn't allowed to eat any of treats till the Easter Bunny okayed it.
If I did, the
Easter
Bunny would take me off his list forever!!! Please Karen, help me find
my basket!''
Julie
pleaded.
Karen
stared at Julie in disbelief, but managed to say, ''Of course, I will!''
''Thank
you!!!! I knew I count on you!'' Julie said excitedly.
Karen
walked to the closet in amazement, as she knew Julie really lost it this
time.
''The
Easter Bunny!!!! And I thought Julie seeing a Leprechaun was bad,'' Karen
chuckled
as stared
at the clothes thrown on the closet floor.
''Have
you found my basket yet?'' Julie yelled.
''Why,
yes, I have,'' Karen said as she left the closet.
''Here
it is?'' Karen smiled as she handed Julie a imaginary basket to her.
''What
kind of idiot do you think I am. You must think it is pretty funny to make
fun of my
loss by
pretending to find my basket. You probably want me to never to receive
another
Easter
Egg basket in my life. I know you have never forgiven for trying to kill
Joe. It was
a long
time ago, get over it!! But that is no excuse to refuse to help me today!
Don't you
know how
much my annual Easter Egg Basket from the Easter Bunny means to me!'' Julie
yelled.
Karen
look frightened and didn't know what to say.
''Get
out! It was my mistake to ever have Dr. Rimmer call you today! I will find
that
basket
on my own!'' Julie said angrily as she pushed Karen toward the door and
pounded
loudly.
''Don't
call me, I will call you! Oh, no! I can't because they revoked my phone
privileges.
Oh, well!''
Julie snickered as she pushed her out of the door.
Meanwhile
a dazed Karen stood alone in the hallway.
''Are
you okay? Did you help Julie?'' Dr. Rimmer said as he approached.
''No,
I didn't find her Easter Egg Basket?'' Karen chuckled.
''Basket??
We didn't give any of patients Easter Basket this year, because we spent
the
money
on sneakers... Come Dr. Wexler to my office, and tell me the whole story
from the
beginning,''
Dr. Rimmer smiled.
''Absolutely,''
Karen replied.
Then they
left and headed toward his office.
5 hours
later
''Yahoo,
I found my basket and didn't need that my so-called friend Karen. Now the
Easter
Bunny
will be pleased when he comes next time and sees my basket. And next year,
he will
give me
a bigger Easter Basket because I am good girl!'' Julie smiled as put a
empty
muffin
basket on the top of shelf.
