Chapter 40
The Son
Ferncliff
Julie's Room
January 18, 2000
10 AM
''Julie, are you ready to go to your next class?'' Dr. Rimmer asked
pleasantly.
''Sure, Dr. Rim...........'' Julie stopped then fainted on the floor.
''Julie, this fake performance will not get you out of your accordion
lesson
today,'' Dr. Rimmer said sounding annoyed as Julie just layed on the
floor.
''She looks sick to me,'' the cleaning lady said as she walked into the
room
''Hmm, maybe she is,'' Dr. Rimmer said as he felt her head.
''She is really burning up. I better call the paramedics,'' Dr. Rimmer
said
he began
to dial his phone.
2 Days Later
General Hospital
East Wing
Room 315
9:30 AM
''Julie, it is nice to see you have recovered from the flu so quickly.
We
should
be releasing you sometime this afternoon so you can return to
Ferncliff,''
Karen
said cheerfully as she made notes in her clipboard.
''Oh, goody, I can't wait to get back to my exciting life at Ferncliff,''
Julie
said sarcastically.
''Julie, it could be worse. You could living at the Scanlon House again,''
Karen
chuckled.
Julie had a look of horror on her face, then replied, ''I never want to
be
present
during the Scanlon thanksgiving again. Karen, your jig dance was
horrible.''
''I know,'' Karen moaned.
''So, why was I moved to this other room'' Julie asked.
''Well, we needed your room for a recently admitted patient. So, for a
short
while, you will have a roommate,'' Karen said calmly.
''Who is the patient?'' Julie asked.
As Karen was about to answer her, the door suddenly swung open. To
Julie's
dismay, Joe was wheeling Neil into the room. Behind him was Mary,
Victor,
Frank, Courtney, and Lark.
''Karen, this room is lovely. I'm so glad that Bobbie assigned this room
for Neil,''
Mary commented.
''You might change your mind,'' Karen said pointing toward Julie who
was resting
on the bed.
''I could kill that Bobbie for endangering my precious Neil's life. What
was she
thinking? How could she have my son share a room with a
brainwashed
serial killer?'' Courtney asked angrily.
''She was probably paying attention to that idiot Roy, rather than doing
her job.
If she had, Neil wouldn't have this murderer as a roommate!'' Mary
said rolling
her eyes.
''Hello, Hello!! Mary, In case you have forgotten, I'm still in this room
and I
can hear every word that you say about me,'' Julie coldly interrupted.
''Julie, that is no way to speak to my mother,'' Frank yelled as he held
Courtney
hand.
''I can speak to your mother anyway I like..... But I'm surprised at you
Frank,
for dating a skank like Courtney. You must of been really desperate
for a
new girlfriend after we broke up,'' Julie snickered.
''Atleast, Courtney isn't a serial killer,'' Frank smirked then kissed
Courtney.
''Don't you ever say mean things about my mom again, you psycho!!!!''
Neil said
angrily.
''Neil, did I ever ask you to speak? No, I didn't... Because if you don't
shut your
big mouth Neil, I will silence you for good,'' Julie threatened.
''Julie, don't you ever threaten my son again ..or I'll make sure you are
locked
up with Greg Copper for life,'' Joe mumbled angrily.
Julie looked lost for minute, then yelled, ''Stop it, Joe. You driving
everyone
crazy with your mumbling!!''
''Ain't that the truth,'' Frank whispered to the group who laughed.
''Julie,'' Joe said speaking clearly, ''I said, don't you ever my threaten
my
son again
or...''
''He's not your son!!!!!!!!!!!'' Courtney interrupted.
''What?'' Joe exclaimed.
''She said, he is not your son. Are you deaf, Joe?'' Julie snickered
''Courtney, I ran the blood test and it said that I had a 99 percent chance
of being
Neil's father,'' Joe said confidently.
''So, what!! Neil's real father, not you, had 99.9 percent,'' Courtney
stated
while holding Frank hand.
''I can't believe you were sleeping with another man behind my back. I
thought
that we were in love Courtney,'' Joe said bitterly.
''We weren't!!! Face it Joe, you were boring. I had to fight to keep awake
when you
just talked about your day,'' Courtney sneered.
''It couldn't be any more than boring that Joe bragging that he loved
Karen
since childhood,'' Julie chuckled.
''Hey, that is not funny!'' Karen objected.
''Yes, it is!'' Julie and Courtney giggled.
''Leave Karen alone, Julie... As for you, Courtney, I demand to know
who Neil's
father is,'' Joe shouted.
''Yes, who is my Dad, mom?'' Neil said excitedly.
Courtney took a deep breath and said, ''Frank is Neil's father.''
''Frank, my hero brother???'' Joe asked in disbelief.
''Frank, my perfect son??'' Mary asked in shocked.
''Frank, the guy who pushed Eve in the morgue??'' Victor asked, looking
puzzled.
''Frank, my adopted dad??'' Lark exclaimed.
''Frank, my former fiancée's brother??'' Karen inquired.
''Frank, my uncle but is not my uncle anymore??'' Neil said sounding
confused.
''Frank, my former boyfriend that was once addicted to DL56?? Frank,
you little
rascal! You slept with your brother girlfriend. You are sooooo
bad!!''
Julie chuckled
''How can you be so sure that Frank is the father. Last year, you were
positive
that I was the father, before that, John was the lucky guy. So, next
week,
will Kevin Collins be Neil's father?'' Joe asked suspiciously.
''Joe, don't be stupid...Courtney is telling the truth, for once. I am
Neil
father,
and we can prove it. Look at these DNA test, Joe,!'' Frank smirked,
the pulled
out a DNA report.
Joe was quiet as he read the test results.
''These test conducted by Chris Ramsney, proves that Frank is Neil's
father,
not me,'' Joe said sounding crushed.
''Frank is my Dad, not Joe!! Yahoo!! That is best news that I have heard
in a long
time!'' Neil said excitedly.
Then he ran to Frank and gave him a warm hug.
''I love you, Son,'' Frank said hugging him back
''I love you too, Dad!'' Neil said happily.
''But, But Neil... Aren't you heartbroken that I am longer your father?''
Joe asked
sadly.
Neil turned to him and shrugged his shoulder, ''No, I am not!. Joe, I
never
wanted you as my father. I always wish Frank was my father, and now
he is!''
''Spoiled little brat! The nerve of him treating me like garbage after
all I
did for
him!'' Joe mumbled.
''What did he say?'' Lark asked
''I think he wants you to take out the garbage,'' Karen whispered back.
''Ok, I will be right back,'' Lark said sounding confused.
Then she picked up Neil's garbage and left the room.
Meanwhile, Mary was beaming at Frank, then asked,
''Frank, when did you find out that you were Neil's father?''
''Well, on Christmas Eve. But Neil was so sick at the time, we couldn't
tell anybody.
But I am so happy that Courtney told the truth today,'' Frank
smiled.
''So, am I,'' Courtney said putting her arms around him.
''Courtney, Thank you for giving Frank a wonderful son,'' Mary said
happily.
''You're welcome, Mary,'' Courtney smiled.
Victor grinned and said, ''Party at the Recovery Room. We will celebrate
Neil's
finding a donor, namely Michael Quartermaine and..
''And that Frank is Neil's father,'' Lark beamed as she re-entered the
room with
the garbage pail.
''Sounds Awesome, Grandpa... Karen, will you let me go the party, then
I
will return
to the hospital?!,'' Neil asked cheerfully.
''Yes, you can,'' Karen smiled.
''Thank you, Karen,'' Neil said giving her a hug.
''Well, since Karen gave you the green light. Let's go!'' Frank grinned
as
he lifted
Neil on his shoulder.
''But, But, doesn't anyone feel bad for me that I'm not Neil's father,''
Joe
mumbled.
''What did Uncle Joe say, Dad?'' Neil asked.
''Who cares, son. I had long given up trying to understand my brother's
words.
It is just impossible!'' Frank said in frustration.
''Why is everybody just standing here. The Recovery Room is waiting for
us,''
Mary urged.
''Joe, aren't you coming?'' Victor asked as he put on his jacket.
Joe coldly stared at him and punch a hole in wall.
''I guess that means no!'' Julie laughed.
''Shut up, Julie! I can speak for myself.... Where in hell did everybody
go??''
Joe yelled, as he suddenly noticed that he and Julie were the only
people
left in the room.
''Looks like the group left you behind, Joe!'' Julie chuckled.
Joe gave her a cold look then said! ''So, what! I didn't want to go to
that
stupid
party anyways.''
''It hurts doesn't it Joe to find out your brother betrayed you... Why
don't
you do something about it,'' Julie suggested slyly.
''What are you saying, Julie!''
''What don't you eliminate Frank from your life forever. Then you could
have Neil
all to yourself,'' Julie smirked.
''I'm not like you, Julie. I would never kill a member of my own family!''
Joe yelled.
''Frank betrayed you just like my Dad did. Frank deserves to die!!!!''
Julie
sneered.
''Scanlons stick together through thick and thin, don't you know that,
Julie.
So, what if he slept with my former girlfriend years ago, I would never
kill him
over that.. So Julie, you can take your suggestion and shove it!!'' Joe
shouted
then stomped out the room.
''Hey, Joe. Just think it over and get back to me,'' Julie yelled.
Then she chuckled and pick up the magazine on her bed.
4pm
''Julie, how was your morning?'' Dr. Rimmer asked as he entered her
room.
''Oh, I found out that Frank is really Neil's father not Joe,'' Julie
answered
calmly as she packed her suitcase.
''Oh, is that what happened on Days of our Lives this morning?'' Dr.
Rimmer
asked.
Julie nearly started to chuckled then regained her composure.
''Yes, that is exactly what happened...Dr. Rimmer, let's head home!''
Julie
said eagerly.
''Alright, I will find Dr. Wexler so she can release you,'' Dr. Rimmer
said
then headed
out the door.
Meanwhile Julie stared outside the window and grinned wickedly, ''Next
time I
get sick, I will tell the paramedic to take me to Mercy Hospital instead
of this
crazy place called General Hospital!!!''

Chapter 41-Ellen Burgess, Where are you?
Ferncliff
Visitor's Room
January 28, 2000
2:30 pm
''Julie, ready for our session today?'' Rachel said as she put her briefcase
down.
''Yes, I am. Days of our Lives has just ended, and now you have my full
attention,''
Julie said cheerfully.
''Great, Julie. We can start with...,'' Rachel voice suddenly trailed off
''Dr. Locke. I knew I would find you here!'' A voice coldly.
Rachel and Julie whipped around and saw Dr. Ellen Burgess staring at
them coldly.
''Ellen, why are you here?'' Rachel asked suspiciously.
''I hope you aren't coming here to tell me that the board is giving me
another
evaluation,'' Julie groaned.
''Julie, no...... Rachel, I came here to talk to you. Your secretary told
me
you would
here.'' Ellen stated.
''How can I help you?'' Rachel asked pleasantly.
''Well, this has been driving me nuts for months. Oops, no offense,
Julie!''
Ellen apologized.
''No offense, taken,'' Julie smiled replying.
''Thanks Julie....Anyways Rachel, I'm positive we have met. Were you at
the Chicago
Medical Conference last year?'' Ellen asked.
''No, I wasn't there,'' Rachel shook her head.
''Did you ever used to work at Pine Valley Hospital? I had a residency
there
a few years back,'' Ellen commented.
''No, I have never worked in Pine Valley. Ellen, you must have me
confused
with someone else that you used to know,'' Rachel suggested.
''Maybe I knew you under a different name. I am positive that we have
met before,''
Ellen said confidently.
''Ellen. We have never met until I moved to Port Charles, so stop
bothering
me!'' Rachel snapped.
''No, I won't!. And one of these days, I will recall how I knew you, Rachel
Locke.
If that is really your name!'' Ellen said coldly.
''It is!!'' Rachel said angrily, ''Please leave, Ellen. I have a session
with
Julie,
that you have rudely interrupted, that we need to finish''
''Fine, my ER shift at General Hospital starts shortly anyways....Julie,
if I
was you,
I would hired a new shrink. The one you have hired lately is a
totally
fraud,'' Ellen said pointing to Rachel.
''Don't listen to that woman, Julie. She has been following me for
months,
claiming she knows me. She is the crazy one!'' Rachel sneered.
''If anyone is crazy, it is you.. And when I remember who you are, all
of
Port Charles
will know it as well. Have a nice day, Rachel, because it might
be your
last,'' Ellen said smirking as she closed the door.
Rachel stared at the door for a minute then finally said, ''Julie, I forget
I
had an
important errand to run. I'm sorry, we will have continue our session
tomorrow!''
''Errand, What kind of errand?'' Julie asked suspiciously.
''Something that should of been taken a long time ago.... Bye Julie,''
Rachel
said mysteriously.
Then she knocked on the door and dashed out the room quickly.
Ferncliff
Visitor's Room
2 Days Later
9 AM
''Julie, I have a few questions to ask you?'' Taggert said calmly.
''What?'' Julie asked as she took a drink of water from her glass.
''When did you last see Dr. Ellen Burgess?'' Taggert asked.
''Ellen? Why are you asking?'' Julie seemed puzzled.
''She disappeared from General Hospital two days ago. Dr. Matt Harmon
saw her
depart in the elevator after her ER shift ended but no one has seen
her since,''
Taggert stated.
''Ellen interrupted my session with Rachel Locke on January 28,'' Julie
replied
seriously.
''What did she want?'' Taggert asked with curiosity.
''Oh, Ellen was positive that she knew Rachel before and accused Rachel
of being
a
fraud.. But that is old news, I knew Rachel was a fraud from the
minute
I met her,'' Julie said rolling her eys.
''Rachel Locke is a respectable psychiatrist. She helps people and
certainly
not a kidnapper,'' Taggert stated.
He paused for a minute then continued, ''Was Ellen ever was threaten by
Sonny
Corthinos or Jason Quarterbrain, I mean Morgan, when you worked
at GH?''
''Why would Sonny or Jason threaten Ellen?? She doesn't even know
them???''
Julie asked puzzled.
''I have several witnesses that saw Dr. Burgess having a discussion with
Sonny
the day she disappeared. Apparently, Bobbie Spencer claims she
overheard
Dr. Ellen Burgess giving him directions to the bathroom. Yeah,
like I
believe that story!!'' Taggert said sarcastically.
''Well, maybe she was giving him directions... Not everything Sonny does
is illegal!''
Julie pointed.
''Oh, brother! Please don't tell you are a new member of the Sonny Fan
Club!
He probably asked you to kill Moreno for him, right?'' Taggert said
shaking
his head.
''No!!! Sonny doesn't even know me,'' Julie lied quickly.
''Oh, really. Then why does the visitor's log show he visited you
recently?''
Taggert asked suspiciously.
''Well, he wanted my opinion on what coffee I liked best. Didn't you
know that
his business has recently entered the criminally insane market?''
Julie
smirked.
''My, My, aren't you the smart alec.. Julie, you have two choices. You
can confess
that you knew that Sonny planned to kidnap Ellen or you can
answer
more questions at the PCPD!'' Taggert threatened.
''Wow, being grilled by Garcia, sounds like fun,'' Julie said her eyes
sparkling.
''Julie, get your mind out of the gutter...Ellen's mom is worried to death.
You must
reveal what you know in order to help us find Ellen,'' Taggert
pleaded
''Leave Julie alone!'' A voice interrupted.
Taggert whipped around and saw Dr. Matt Harmon wheeling into the
room.
''Harmon!! Don't you have anything better to do, than to follow me all
day,''
Taggert said looking irritated
''No, I don't. I told you that Rachel was behind Ellen's disappearance
not
Sonny.
Why don't you investigate her?'' Matt demanded.
''Matt, as we told you. We have no reason to suspect Rachel!'' Taggert
pointed
out.
''I have evidence that Rachel is behind Ellen's disappearance. Taggert,
read this
letter that I found late last night!'' Matt said as he handed the paper
to him.
''Fine, who is the letter from?'' Taggert said sounding annoyed.
''Ellen!'' Matt stated.
''Why didn't you say so!'' Taggert said ripping the letter out Matt's hand.
He looked at it and began reading.
Dear Matt
I have accept a fellowship at San Francisco Medical Centre in the ER. I
handed
my resignation to Monica Quartermaine earlier today.
I'm sorry Matt, but I can't marry you. I realized last night, we could
never
work out problems about Sebastion. We are better off being apart.
Here is
your engagement ring back.
Ellen
''Case is closed. Ellen isn't missing, she moved away. Matt, you can relax
now!''
Taggert smiled.
''There is something fishy with that letter, Detective. Ellen would have
to
be out
of her mind to dump Matt for her career!'' Julie stated.
''Exactly, Julie. Ellen loved me and was happy with her life. She and I
were planning
to get married on Valentine's day, and that loser Sebastian was
in the
past. It makes no sense that she would leave me now for that position
in San
Francisco. Ellen knew who Rachel was, and planned to tell me the
night
she disappeared! This letter has to be forged by Rachel so that no one
would
look for Ellen!'' Matt said angrily.
''There is no proof that Rachel wrote this letter!'' Taggert pointed out.
''Rachel moved into Ellen's apartment that very same night she
vanished!''
Matt exclaimed.
''So what!! Rachel needs a place to live too!'' Taggert commented.
''Taggert, don't you find it odd that all the places Rachel could of lived,
she picked
Ellen's apartment?'' Matt asked angrily.
''No, not really,'' Taggert answered calmly.
''Also, well learned something interesting this morning. You see, I called
San Francisco
Medical Center and no one has heard of Dr. Ellen Burgess. My
Ellen
has completely disappeared from the face of map. So Taggert, I can't
relax
till I know where Ellen is!'' Matt said in disgust.
''Face it Harmon, Ellen dumped you and lied where she moved to. The
case is
closed as far as I am concerned..... And yes, I am willing to admit I
was wrong
about Sonny. He had nothing to do with Ellen leaving town!''
Taggert
said shrugging his shoulder.
''Ellen was kidnapped, she didn't dump me. Why won't you check out my
suspicions?''
Matt asked angrily.
''Because the PCPD has better things to do than chase after a woman
who choose
to leave town on her own,'' Taggert declared.
''Like what?'' Matt said coldly.
Number 1: Arrest Sonny Corthinos and Jason Morgan. Number 2: Arrest
Jason
Morgan and Sonny Corthinos. Number 3. Arrest Sonny Corthinos and
Jason
Morgan,'' Taggert stated calmly.
''So in other words, the only thing that matter to the PCPD is putting
away a
mobster and his Borge!'' Matt said angrily.
''No, that not true, Harmon. We also concerned about the Cassadine
faking
people's death and their monthly murders like throwing individuals
off parapets.
Commissor Scorpio intends to throw the book at them as soon
as he
find the evidence to arrest them!'' Taggert said confidently
''I think Mac will have to wait till the next century to convict them,''
Julie
laughed.
''We're getting off subject! I could care less about the Cassadine's murder
of the
month.. What are you going to do to find my Ellen, Taggert?'' Matt
demanded.
''Nothing. But, you can hired Felicia to look for Ellen. I can call her
right
now for
you if you want?'' Taggert asked.
Matt rolled his eyes ,then said, ''Felicia, that nitwit!! Don't bother,
Taggert.
I will contact the FBI. I'm sure Agent Larkin can help me find
Ellen!''
''Forget Larkin, call Agent Mulder instead. He is the man you can count
on!''
Julie said confidently.
''Julie, I wouldn't take advice from someone who strangled my friend,
Grace!''
Matt said.
''Grace was your friend!! You have got to be kidding!! Grace was a
pathetic
whining nurse who had delusions that you were in love with her after
a few
dates. If I hadn't strangled her, you and Ellen never would of gotten
together!''
Julie said smiling.
''I can't believe that you taking credit for Ellen and me getting together.
What are
you going to claim next. That you wiped out Joe competition, Jake,
so he
wouldn't break up Joe and Karen. You are sick, Julie!! And I will make
sure you
will pay for that comment!!'' Matt threatened.
''I'm already paying, I'm living in Ferncliff,'' Julie said sarcastically.
Matt ignored her, then he turned to Taggert! ''If PCPD ever remembers
there
are more cases than the mobster duo of Corthinos and Morgan and the
Cassadines,
then how about looking for Ellen.''
''Matt, Ellen's case is closed now. Go home and move on with your life!''
Taggert
replied.
''I'm out of here, Taggert! Thanks for your help!'' Matt said sarcastically.
Then he wheeled out the room and slammed the door hard.
''Well, Julie. Thanks for your help. Have a nice day. Bye!'' Taggert
smiled
as he left the room
''I live in Ferncliff!! How can I ever have a nice day! Idiot!!'' Julie
muttered
in the room alone.
A Half Hour Later
Pay Phone Area
''Agent Mulder! I need you to help me find a missing person. Her name is
Dr. Ellen
Burgess!'' Julie asked.
Julie listen to a few minute then said, ''No, I don't think she was
abducted
by Aliens... But I believe Dr. Rachel Locke, my shrink, was behind
her disappearance!
Can you help me?''
Julie was quiet for a minute then responded, ''Thank you Agent Mulder.
You are
the best!''
Then she hung up the phone and grinned, ''Agent Mulder will find the
missing
Ellen in no time. Then Matt will be reunited with his true love,
Rachel
will be thrown into jail for kidnapping and PCPD will once again be
the joke
of the town.''
Then she smirked and looked out the window.

Chapter 42The Take-Outs
Ferncliff
Julie's Room
February 5, 2000
5pm
Julie was watching Jeopardy , when she heard a knock on the door.
''Come on in,'' Julie yelled as she shut off the TV.
Suddenly Julie observed a paper bag flying in the air, nearly miss her,
then land
on her bed.
''What the hell!! You nearly hit me!!'' Julie said angrily.
''Oh, I'm so sorry Julie,'' a voice said sarcastically.
''I know that voice. Mike, what are you doing here?'' Julie asked.
Mike looked at her coldly, ''I'm delivering your order that you placed
at
the Recovery
Room and..''
''Thank you, Mike! I didn't think the Recovery Room would deliver all
the way
to Ferncliff. It's is a forty minute ride. Mike, you are the best!!'' Julie
said happily.
Mike looked irritated then said, ''Julie! I didn't bring the food because
I
am nice.
I have a reason being here and that is..
''I have missed your Roast Beef sandwiches so much, Mike. You have no
idea how
bad the cafeteria food is here,'' Julie exclaimed as she took a bite.
''Julie, stop interrupting me. Let me finish!'' Mike said angrily.
''Mike, you have quite the temper. No wonder, your son doesn't like
you!''
Julie remarked.
''At least my son didn't kill me!'' Mike snapped back.
''So, what? At least my father isn't a problem anymore!'' Julie smirked.
''You are sick, Julie. And furthermore....'' Mike suddenly stopped as he
saw the
door opening.
''Luke!'' Mike whispered in surprise.
''Your Cheese Fries are here, Madame,'' Luke said cheerfully as he
carried
a small box.
''Oh, yummy!'' Julie said snatching the box.
''Thank you, Claude!!'' Julie grinned.
''Claude!! No, way. Try again!'' Luke exclaimed in frustration.
''Thank you, Roy!'' Julie smirked.
''Roy!! Luke said in disgust, ''I'm out of here! Next time, I will wear
a
name tag,
then Julie will know who I am!!''
Then Luke knocked on the door and stormed out of the room.
''The service industry's workers can be so touchy. Don't you think?''
Julie
asked grinning.
''You know he is, don't you? What kind of game are you playing with
him?''
Mike asked suspiciously.
Julie smirked and didn't say anything.
Mike rolled, ''Anyways, since you aren't going to answer. I have a few
choice
words to say to you...''
''Can it wait for a second, Mikey. I can hear someone knocking on the
door,''
Julie said sounding distracted.
''Sure, it's not I have anything better to do,'' Mike said sarcastically.
''Come on in!'' Julie shouted as she heard the knocking again.
The guard opened the door and Elizabeth Webber walked into the room,
carrying
a brown paper bag.
''Here is your order of Ruby's Chili and your drink that you wanted.
Sorry,
I am late, but does take 40 miles to get here!'' Liz said pleasantly.
''Oh, I will make sure you get a big tip from when Lee pays you. Thank
you so
much, Liz,'' Julie said happily as she grabbed the bag from Liz's
hands.
''Your welcome, Julie,'' Liz smiled, ''But I really need to go, Tammy
wants
me to close up Kelly's for the night.
''Ah, Liz. Can I talk to you privately for a minute?'' Mike asked.
''Sure, how about the hallway?'' Liz suggested.
''Julie, excuse me. I will return in a couple of minutes,'' Mike said
quickly.
''Alright,'' Julie answered as she observed them leaving her room.
Outside the door, Liz asked, ''What do want?''
''Why are you delivering food to this wacko serial murderer?'' Mike
asked
anxiously.
''Jason has always taught me that good hearted mobsters, and serial
murderers
are very generous tippers. So, I figured I hit the jackpot with Dr.
Julie
Devlin by just delivering to her! Now, I will have enough money to go
the Days
of Our Lives fan function in LA!'' Liz grinned wickedly.
Then she paused then said, ''Why are you here, Mike?''
''Visiting....We will leave it at that,'' Mike said mysteriously.
''Ok! Hope you have a nice evening,'' Liz smiled.
''Say hi to Tammy!'' Mike yelled as she walked down the hallway.
Liz nodded then entered the elevator.
A half hour later
''Mike, you are back. Did you get lost in the hallway,'' Julie said as
she
took a
bite out of her chili.
''Julie, I have asked to guard to make sure no one interrupts us again,''
Mike said
coldly.
''What do you want?'' Julie said as she took a drink of out her Clearly
Canadian
''Put the food down, Julie!'' Mike ordered.
''Alright, I was done eating anyways,'' Julie said rolling her eyes as
she
put her
food on her table.
Mike stared at her, ''Now that I have your attention, I want you to listen
very carefully.
I have a few things to say to you or rather my good friend will
say for
me... Jason, come inside!''
He knocked at the door and Jason Morgan entered the room walking
slowly.
''Dr. Devlin.. If you ever call the Recovery Room for take-out again, I
will make
sure your fingers are broken permanently!!!'' Jason coldly said.
''Thank you, Jason. You may go now!'' Mike replied calmly.
Afterwards, Mike smiled, ''Enjoy the Roast Beef Sandwich. It will be the
last sandwich
that you ever have from the Recovery Room. Well, unless, you
choose
to have broken fingers with your sandwich order, next time!''
Then Mike laughed wickedly, knocked, then left the room.
Julie was silent for a minute, then spoke, ''Liz and Luke are wonderful
at
delivering
take-outs, but that Mike is very rude. Imagine sending Lassie, I
mean Jason,
to give me Mike's message. I will never order from the Recovery
Room again!''
''You won't be ordering, period,'' a voice boomed.
''Oh, shoot! Dr. Rimmer, is that you?'' Julie said loudly
''Is that your final answer?'' Dr. Rimmer asked as he slowly entered the
room.
''Yes!'' Julie said slowly.
''You are correct. For your reward, you will be going on a trip to solitary
for a
whole week!'' Dr. Rimmer said seriously.
''Yahoo, I can't wait,'' Julie said sarcastically.
''Guard, take her away!'' Dr. Rimmer instructed.
Five Minutes Later in Solitary
''Well, look on the positive side, Julie. Atleast you had a good dinner
tonight
instead of that horrible cafeteria food,'' Julie remarked to herself.
Then she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
The End.
Chapter 43
St. Valentine's
Day
Ferncliff
Visitor's
Room
February
14, 2000
2pm
''Love,
exciting and new
Come Aboard.
We're expecting you.
Love,
life's sweetest reward.
Let it
flow, it floats back to you.''
Julie started
to whistle the rest of the theme of the Love Boat, after singing a
few lines.
She knew that any minute Garcia would be here with her
Valentine's
treats. She smiled and wonder what Garcia would bring this year
for her.
Suddenly
the door swung opened and Julie jumped out her chair.
She exclaimed,
''Garcia!!''
''No,
it's Garcia's boss. Commissor Mac Scorpio!'' Mac exclaimed walking in
the room.
''What
do you want?'' Julie asked with curiosity.
''I love
you Julie!! And I have decided that you are the only woman for me!''
Mac exclaimed.
''But
what about Felicia?'' Julie exclaimed.
''Felicia
who... I was staring at your police record picture today, and realized
how much
you meant to me!'' Mac said lovingly.
''But
I am a serial killer!!! Your friends will banish me, you will be fired,
and
you will
be the outcast of Port Charles!'' Julie pointed out.
''I love
you, Julie. And if I have to work as Janitor at Ferncliff to be with
you. So
be it!!!As for everybody else, I could care less what folks of Port
Charles
think of us!'' Mac declared.
''Oh,
Mac. I love you too!'' Julie said her eyes shining.
''Oh,
Julie!'' Mac said happily.
Then their
lips met and kissed passionately as it began to snow softly outside.
''Julie,
Julie!! Have you listen to one word that I said to you!'' Mac shouted.
''What
did you say???'' Julie said in a daze.
''Are
you hallucinating again, Julie?'' Mac asked.
''You
certainly could say especially if I am fantasizing about loving you!''
Julie
muttered.
''What?''
Mac asked.
''Why
are here, Big Mac?'' Julie asked smirking
''I have
some questions for you!'' Mac stated.
''I want
you to instruct Agent Mulder to drop the Ellen case immediately.
The case
is closed on Ellen's disappearance!'' Mac stated.
''Well,
excuse me for caring about a citizen of Port Charles who had just
suddenly
disappeared without a trace!'' Julie said rudely.
''Ellen
left on her free will, she wasn't kidnapped. Agent Mulder is just
wasting
his time being here!'' Mac stated.
''We will
see about that won't we, Commissor Macaroni! In the meantime,
get lost!!''
Julie ordered.
''Fine,
I will. I'm sick and tired of you insulting my name, anyways! I have
better
things to do with my time today like meeting my lovely wife for
Valentine's
Dinner. Bye, Julie!!'' Mac said, then knocked, then walked
quickly
out the door.
''Good,
Now I can dream about Jax instead of that idiot Mac,'' Julie smiled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Daydream~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
''Julie,
Happy Valentine's day!'' Jax said breaking down the door and
walking
in the room.
''Jax,
what a pleasant surprise!'' Julie said kissing him softly on the lips.
''Julie,
my darling. I am breaking you out of Ferncliff and we are leaving
Port Charles
tonight. Then we will spend the rest of our lives living on a
tropical
island, where no one can ever bother us again!'' Jax declared kissing
her back.
''Wonderful!
Wonderful. Let's leave now!'' Julie grinned.
''Julie,
it's time for your session,'' Jax suggested.
''What?''
Julie staring at him, looking puzzled.
She paused
and gasped. Dr. Rimmer was talking to her not Jax!
''Oh,
shoot!!'' Julie exclaimed.
~~~~~~~~~~~Daydream

''Julie,
are you okay?'' Dr. Rimmer said looking concerned.
Julie
blinked her eyes for a minute, then said, ''No..... It is okay, if we cancel
our session
today?''
''Sure.
By the way Julie, Happy Valentine's day!'' Dr. Rimmer said as he
closed
the door.
Julie
rolled her eyes, then said sarcastically, ''It would be happier, if my
daydreams
wouldn't keep being constantly interrupted!!!!''
Then she
smiled and sang once again
''Love,
exciting and new
Come Aboard.
We're expecting you.
Love,
life's sweetest reward.
Let it
flow, it floats back to you.''
''Let it
flow, it floats back to you!'' Garcia sang as he entered the room.
''Garcia!!
Julie said excitedly.
The her
face dropped and snapped, ''Just drop the candy and the roses. Then
depart!''
''Julie,
I realize I am late, but that is no need to throw me out!'' Garcia
exclaimed
as he put his gifts on the bed.
''Leave!!
And don't come back again!!'' Julie yelled.
Garcia
looked sad, then proceeded to exit the room. He slammed the door on
the way
out.
Julie
threw the roses at the door, the shouted, ''Damn that face changing
disease!
It has claimed another victim. Garcia!!! Oh why, oh why, did it have
to happen
on St. Valentine's day!''
Then Julie
sigh and broke off a piece of Almond Roca.

''Julie,
are you ready to go to General Hospital for your checkup?'' Dr.
Rimmer
asked.
''Yes,
I am,'' Julie smiled.
''Now,
remember if you run into some of your old colleagues to behave,'' Dr.
Rimmer
said sternly.
''Oh,
darn. You mean I can't threaten them with a scalpel!'' Julie chuckled.
''Don't
even joke about that Julie. I could always call Dr. Eve Lambert to
exam you!''
Dr. Rimmer threatened.
''No,
thanks. That woman spends more time on vacations than finishing her
own residency,''
Julie said rolling her eyes.
''Good!
Guards put Julie in the van, then we will leave,'' Dr. Rimmer
instructed.
As Julie
entered the van, she smiled and wondered what would happen at her
examination
at General Hospital. Perhaps she might run into Frank's cute
new EMT
partner, Emilio. She had seen him once or twice at Ferncliff before.
''Hey,
Miss Crazy. Be a dear, and buckle your seat belt,'' The guard
whispered.
Julie
glared at him then snap her seat belt into place. Then the driver started
the van
and proceeded to leave Ferncliff.
General
Hospital
East Wing
Room 434
2:30pm
''Well,
Julie. You have seemed to recover from the Flu very well,'' Dr.
Monica
Quartermaine said calmly making notes on her file.
''Thanks,
Monica,'' Julie said happily.
''That's
Dr. Quartermaine to you,'' Monica said coolly.
''Oh,
Sorry.,, In case, you had forgotten, I was one of interns at General
Hospital
here once upon a time,'' Julie said rudely.
''Yes,
you were. Infact you killed two doctors, a nurse, and one intern during
your time
here,'' Monica pointed out.
''Oh,
big deal. I heard Stefan wanted to cut down staff anyways, I just help
the elimination
process proceed faster... In fact, if you want me to get rid of
that annoying
nurse, Bobbie. Just say the word, Dr. Q. I do it!,'' Julie said
winking
at her.
Monica
stared coldly at her, and yelled, ''Dr. Rimmer, please remove Dr.
Devlin
from my presence.''
Dr. Rimmer
entered quickly inside the room, ''Is there is a problem?''
''Yes,
she just threaten an nurse here at GH. Please escort Julie back to
Ferncliff!''
Monica ordered.
''Julie!''
Dr. Rimmer yelled.
Then he
pushed her out of the room and glared at her as they walk down the
hallway
with the guards.
''I can't
help it, Dr. Rimmer. Threatening is in my blood!'' Julie said
shrugging
her shoulder.
''So is
Murder!'' Dr. Rimmer pointed out .
Julie
sighed softly, ''Yes, it is. In fact, I could show you exactly where I
killed
dear old
dad
in this very hospital... What the hell!!'
''What
is it Julie?'' Dr. Rimmer said anxiously.
''There
is an alien wearing a yellow spacesuit in Neil Kanelos' Room!!!!!!!!!!''
Julie
shrieked loudly
''Did
you say Alien, Julie?'' Karen chuckled as she walked by them.
''Yes,
I said Alien!! And I know he is going to do something terrible to Neil.
Maybe
suck his brain out or conduct a secret experiment on him!!!!'' Julie
said in
horror.
''Julie,
keep calm. I will check things out,'' Karen smiled widely.
''Thanks
Karen,'' Julie said thankfully.
As Karen
entered the room, she wonder about Julie's mental state today. She
thought
to herself that Julie really lost her mind today thinking there was a
Alien
in Neil's room. Suddenly she gasped in shock. To her amazement, she
saw Joe
putting a curtain around Neil
''What
in the hell are you doing, Scanlon?'' Karen demanded.
''I am
saving Neil's life. I was just about to start the transplant when you
rudely
interrupted me!'' Joe said loudly.
''Frank
and Courtney said no!!!! Are you deaf, Joseph??? They wanted to
wait until
Neil was stronger for the transplant,'' Karen yelled.
''They
are wrong, I am right. Neil will die if we don't do the transplant now!''
Joe shouted.
''Shh,
Joe. You are loud enough to wake the dead in the morgue... We will
talk about
this in the hallway. Neil needs his sleep,'' Karen instructed.
''Fine,''
Joe mumbled.
Karen
rolled her eyes and said quietly, ''Why is it, the only time I understand
Joe when
he is shouting at me,''
Then her
and Joe entered the hallway and saw Julie staring at them.
''Dr.
Rimmer, please call Mulder now...He can question this Alien since
Karen
has captured him in the act of trying to harm Neil,'' Julie said as she
eyed Joe
suspiciously in his yellow isolation suit.
''I am
not an alien!!!'' Joe said as he took off his isolation suit.
''I beg
to differ!!'' Julie said shaking her head as Karen and Dr. Rimmer
laughed
outloud.
Joe shook
his fist in the air, ''I can't believe I am being insulted by a serial
killer
and you two are doing nothing about it.''
''It was
funny, Joe. Lighten up,'' Karen giggled.
''What
is happening here?'' Frank and Courtney asked as they joined the
group.
''Joe
tried to transplant Micheal Quartermaine's bone marrow into Neil,''
Karen
said angrily.
''I tried
to save my, er..your son!'' Joe explained.
''Are
you deaf, Joe. We told you five times; no!'' Courtney shouted.
''Neil's
doctors said he wasn't strong enough for the surgery... Thank
goodness,
Karen stopped you in time!'' Frank remarked.
Joe glared,
then shouted, ''You are all wrong!! I am Joe Scanlon, General
Hospital's
best resident. Have you all forgotten that I saved Audrey's life
with a
drill? Or the time, I created DL56 which eventually saved my brother's
life!''
''Jerk!!
Jake and I created DL56 not you!'' Karen said angrily.
''Oh,
please. I was the genius behind that drug,'' Joe declared.
''My,
my what an ego you have, little brother. Taking credit for something
you never
invented. You only decided to perform surgery, just so you could
prove
us all wrong! And if Neil dies, who cares, right... Well, you aren't
getting
away with it!'' Frank snapped.
''I am
performing the bone marrow transplant, Frankie! Whether you like it
or not!!
No one is going to stop me including you, Courtney, Dr.
Quartermaine,
Karen Wexler, Stefan Cassadine, the orderly, a candy striper
or an
janitor is going to stop me from saving Neil's life!'' Joe mumbled.
There
was silence in the hallway for a few minutes.
''Alright,
I give up. What did Joe say?'' Julie asked puzzled..
''I have
no idea. I lost him after the first word he spoke,'' Karen spoke up.
''I said,
people.. That no one is going to stop me from giving the bone
marrow
transplant to Neil!'' Joe yelled.
''Quiet,
Scanlon!!!'' a voice spoke up.
Everyone
turned around and gasped, ''Commissor Mac Scorpio!''
''What
are you doing here?'' Karen asked.
''Maxie
had a doctor appointment........ But then I heard all this shouting in
the hallway
and came out to investigate. What is the problem here?'' Mac
inquired.
''Joe
was ordered off Neil's case. But then he decided to disobey and do the
transplant
by himself. But lucky Karen stopped him before he had a chance
to hurt
Neil,'' Courtney said angrily.
Mac stared
at Joe for a minute, then said coldly,
''Joe,
leave the hospital now. Or I will be forced to arrest you for
endangering
a minor's life!''
''I am
trying saving his life! Why won't anyone listen to me'' Joe declared
loudly.
''It's
because you are an idiot Joe!'' Julie smirked.
''Shut
up, Julie! Leave my brother alone!!!,'' Frank glared at her.
Julie
rolled her eyes but said nothing.
''Dr.
Rimmer, Mac, can I talk privately to you two in the residence lounge!''
Franks
said calmly.
10 minutes
later
''Joe,
Dr. Rimmer, Mac and I have come up with a solution regarding your
punishment.
We are sending you to Ferncliff, because it is clear to us you are
mentally
unstable regarding Neil's case. Perhaps next time, you will think
twice
about disobeying Dr. Quartermaine orders,'' Frank said calmly.
''You
can't do this! I have to stay here and save Neil from death. I am the
only one
can make him better!'' Joe shouted.
''Joe,
you are no expert and you are not qualified to do Neil's transplant.
Neil would
of been dead if you had actually done it,'' Courtney said then
slapped
Joe hard on the cheek.
''You
witch!'' Joe shouted.
Then he
paused angrily then said, ''You three can't do this me. I will find a
way to
stop you!''
''It's
a done deal! Joe. The matter is out of your hands. Security, take him
away!''
Dr. Rimmer ordered.
''But,
But, you can't do this me. I'm the great Dr. Joe Scanlon. What will GH
ever do
without me?'' Joe mumbled as the hospital security dragged him
away.
''Oh,
thanks alot, Frank. I now have the mumbler living at Ferncliff,'' Julie
said sarcastically.
''So,
what. Joe is driving us crazy by his mumbling, lately. So I decided we all
needed
a break from him and Ferncliff seemed like the perfect solution. Since
you are
already crazy, I thought you wouldn't mind the company!'' Frank
smirked.
''I would
rather have an alien as my roommate than share the cafeteria with
Joe!''
Julie said angrily
''Oh,
Julie! I feel bad for you,'' Frank said with false sincerity.
''Liar!''
Julie said sticking her tongue at him.
Then he
turned to group, ''I feel like celebrating. Everyone is invited to a
party
at the recovery room right now. Can you attend, Dr. Rimmer. You are
certainly
welcomed!''
''Thanks,
I love to come. Guard, please take Julie back to Ferncliff,'' Dr.
Rimmer
ordered as the group headed to elevator doors.
''What
are you looking so glum about, Devlin?'' Chris asked as he walked by
Julie.
''Oh,
nothing much. Just the mumbling caveman is moving into my
territory...
I'm ready to go, guard!'' Julie snapped.
Then the
guard escorted Julie to the elevator, as Chris watched silently.
''What's
wrong with crazy Julie?'' Chris asked quietly.
''Oh,
she is just a tad upset that Frank committed Joe to Ferncliff,'' DeNeice
commented.
''Oh,
this is great news... Now there is the one less candidate for the position
for the
new Chief Residence. Very interesting, indeed!'' Chris pondered
outloud.
DeNeice
looked at him suspiciously then said, ''Did you tell Joe that he
needed
to do Neil's bone marrow transplant before it was too late.''
Chris
eyes sparkled then he said, ''DeNeice, I may be very competitive, but I
never
sink as low to sabotage my own colleague for a job. What kind of
person
do you think I am....... Excuse me, I need check on a patience.''
Chris
walked away, then he whispered silently to himself, ''One down, one
more to
go. Eve, next week, you are going down.... Then the chief resident
job will
be all mine.. As for Julie being stuck with Joe. Oh well, it isn't my
problem,
it's hers..''
Then he
chuckled silently as he entered the patience room.
