Ferncliff Chronicles
This is collection of short stories of Julie's life in Ferncliff.
Prologue
In this story, I have made a few changes. First, Julie is not pregnant,
she only think so. She is still stuffing that pillow under her shirt. Second,
Frank never injected himself with the virus DL56, thus no superflu outbreak.
The deal went through with Lance for Chris and Frank. As far I am concerned,
Bennett Devlin never filed a patent but Chris and Frank did. The story
takes place in January right after Julie was sent to Ferncliff.
Chapter
1 - The Beginning
Ferncliff
January 11, 1999
1pm
Julie stared at her single bed and the TV in her new room. Ferncliff's
accommodations were certainly not like her basement apartment at the Scanlon's.
She knew now that life was over and her future was presently now at Ferncliff.
She wished that never came to Port Charles for her internship. Then she
would never met Greg Cooper. If was his fault that she was living here.
If he hadn't brainwashed her, she would never committed those murders.
Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted by someone knocking on the door
loudly. Her shrink, Dr. Rimmer and some orderly walked through the door
to her surprise.
Dr. Rimmer smiled, ''Julie, Lee Baldwin is here to see you. I will take
you to the visitor room, right now.''
Julie smiled and wondered what Lee wanted. Then Dr. Rimmer and the orderly
escorted Julie to the visitor's room. Once there, Julie stood by the window
and waited alone. A minute later, Lee entered the room with his briefcase,
smiling, ''Hi Julie! I hope you are doing well this afternoon. I hope you
haven't killed anyone today.''
''Oh, very funny, Lee. What the hell are you doing here? Did you just come
by here to mock me?'' Julie sneered.
Lee looked scared for a minute, then replied calmly, ''The families of
your victims are suing you. They demand compensations for their loved ones.
I'm going to settle.''
''What? With What?'' Julie exclaimed, ''Lee, I have no money anymore! Greg
and I used it all for our General Homicide Murders! You know, killing isn't
cheap.''
Lee rolled his eyes, ''But you do have money, Julie. I bet you thought
you so were clever hiding your money from me under your alias of Marcia
Cooper. But I was smarter and hired Felicia Jones. Then in no time flat,
she had found your secret bank account in Buffalo. But because I am your
guardian, I was allowed access to your other account. Don't forget, you
will be paying for my services, first. Then we will be settling with the
families regarding the law suit.''
''But.. But.. What about my baby. I want to provide the best life for her.''
Julie cried out.
''Oh, Julie. You are not pregnant!! Don't you remember the doctor giving
you all those tests in the exam room your first day you arrived here. The
lab checked if your were pregnant, but the tests said you weren't. Your
little game is now over, Miss Devlin!!,'' Lee said confidently as he yanked
the pillow from under Julie's shirt.
''Hey, don't do that!'' Julie yelled in shock.
Then she paused and calmly said, ''Ok, You got me! I did wonder why the
doctor was sticking all those needles in me the other day, though. You
know, I was hoping I could fool Frank with my pregnancy a little longer.
Then he could break me out of this place and we could leave the country
together. You know, he is so gullible at times! He would believe anything
I said to him.''
''But you are wrong about Frank, Julie. You see, Frank confided to me that
you were pregnant after you were caught by the police in November. He didn't
want any harm coming to your unborn child while being on the run.. But
this morning, I informed him that you were not pregnant and he was so relieved.
You should of seen his face. I never saw Frank so happy before,'' Lee chuckled.
Julie looked annoyed, then Lee quickly changed the subject, ''Well, I must
leave for my next appointment. But, I will keep you updated on the lawsuit
situation, okay. Bye, Julie! Please be on your best behavior!!''
Then he left the visitor's room as fast as he could, leaving Julie all
alone at the table.
She stared at the wall for a minute then spoke, ''Home Sweet Home. Welcome
to your new home at Ferncliff, Julie Devlin!''
Chapter
2- The Trouble With Stefan
Ferncliff Visitor Room
January 15, 1999
1:30pm
Julie sat quietly on her chair waiting for Stefan Cassadine. She wondered
what he wanted from her. She found it very unlikely he was coming to Ferncliff
personally to fire her. He must have some kind of agenda regarding her
now. She was curious if her patients were suing GH due to her current situation
now. Suddenly the door opened and Stefan and Alexis walked calmly in.
''Good Afternoon, Miss Devlin,'' Alexis said carrying her briefcase, then
she laid it on the table as she and Stefan sat down.
''Miss Devlin. I trust you are adapting to your new habitation. We have
certain issue to elucidate,'' Stefan stated.
''What?'' Julie said with a puzzle look on her face.
''He means that we have certain issues to discuss with you,'' Alexis chimed
in.
''Oh, I understand now. Please, go ahead,'' Julie replied.
''Oh, I am compunctious. I mean, sorry. It amazes that no one except Nikolas,
Alexis and Dr. Kevin Collins can understand me in Port Charles. I will
try to converse simpler, then. Let us discuss how your employment has effected
General Hospital,'' Stefan coolly said.
''I assume, I am fired at the hospital for killing five people and several
attempted murders,'' Julie stated
''If you were a Cassadine, Miss Devlin, you would of got away with everything
you have done in Port Charles. Just ask Stefan here, his mother gets away
with murder all the time,'' Alexis smirked.
''Alexis!! We are not here discuss Helena's past crimes,'' Stefan said
coldly glaring at her.
Then he turned his attention back to Julie, ''Now, Miss Devlin, where we
were last. Ah, yes you are terminated from General Hospital, but I think
was fairly obvious already.''
I think confessing being a serial killer was a dead give away,'' Julie
said sarcastically.
Stefan ignored Julie's comment, then continued, ''Do you realize the inconvenience
you have cause the hospital. I had to supersede 4 physicians and one nurse.''
Julie had a blank look on her face and said nothing.
''Miss Devlin. I will endure this silence no longer. Please answer at once,''
Stefan demanded.
''What does supersede mean?'' Julie asked with a very confused look on
her face.
''It means replace, Miss Devlin. Obviously, we are getting nowhere today.
Let me sum up for you, in words you can understand. You have cost the hospital
thousands of dollars and most important you have hurt the hospital reputation!''
Alexis said loudly.
''What do you want from me?'' Julie inquired.
''We wanted to inform you and Lee that we are suing you for damages caused
to GH,'' Alexis stated.
''So you telling me, that you are only are really concerned about is money
and the hospital reputation Don't you care that I murdered five people!!''
Julie yelled.
''No, it is no importance to me. I won't delay your afternoon plans any
further, Miss Devlin,'' Stefan said calmly.
''I live in a mental institution for the criminally insane. What kinds
of plans can I have?'' Julie said sarcastically.
''That is not my problem, Miss Devlin. Alexis will be contacting Lee regarding
our legal action. Salutations, Miss Devlin,'' Stefan said coolly.
''I'll be touch with Lee later this afternoon, Miss Devlin,'' Alexis said
as she stood up with Stefan.
Then they walked to the door and knocked to leave.
After they departed, Julie said to herself, ''I think next Stefan drops
by, I'll bring a dictionary.''
Chapter
3- The GH Review Board
On Route to the Ferncliff Visitor Room
January 25, 1999
9:00am
Julie walked down the hallway with the guard wondering who wanted to see
her. She prayed it wasn't another person wanting to sue her. She was happy
that Lee finally settled with the victims families and the hospital.
''Dr. Devlin, we're here!'' the guard announced
He opened the door and Julie glanced in the room. To Julie's amazement,
Dr. Monica Quartermaine, Dr. Mark Boardman, and Dr. Ellen Burgess were
siting at the table.
''Good morning, Dr. Devlin!'' Monica said pleasantly.
''Is this regarding the lawsuits? Lee informed me that everything was settled,''
Julie asked nervously.
Monica shook her head, then said, ''No, this is about your annual evaluation.
Your colleagues have been already had theirs last week. Even though you
are terminated, you are still required to have this evaluation. So, let's
start!''
''But I am not prepared,'' Julie stuttered.
''No, matter, we can't delay this matter any longer. Dr. Devlin, please
have a seat,'' Dr. Boardman said sternly.
Julie sat down in shock and said nothing.
''What we have to say, Dr. Devlin, is not positive. In the past year, you
have broken the Hippocratic Oath by committing five murders which resulted
in your termination,'' Dr. Quartermaine said coldly.
''But...but. Greg Cooper brainwashed me to kill people!!'' Julie said nervously
''We didn't ask you for what you thought, Dr. Devlin,'' Dr. Boardman coolly
said.
Julie turned red and became silent.
Dr. Boardman look at her then spoke, ''Dr. Devlin. My opinions haven't
changed from your last evaluation.''
He paused then glanced at his notes, ''Tentative, hesitant, shows lack
of confidence in her judgment, and looks for others for conformation of
her actions. Dr. Devlin, if you had been stronger in your decisions, you
never would allowed yourself to be brainwashed.''
Julie nodded, then Dr. Burgess spoke, ''As a resident, you are expected
to put in many long hours. Nevertheless, I have observed that you had been
taking far too much time off work this past year. That shows to me that
you are not dedicated to your profession as you often claim.''
''But..But I was jail and the bail had been denied. How could I possibly
work?'' Julie said sarcastically.
''Dr. Devlin. We would appreciate if you would stop interrupting your evaluation,''
Dr. Monica Quartermaine said coldly.
''Sorry, Dr. Quartermaine. Please continue,'' Julie said quietly.
Monica then spoke, ''Dr. Devlin. As a doctor, it is vital that you keep
your personal feelings to your self at all times. Case in point: You were
not very professional when you murdered Dr. May, Marshak, and Devlin. Another
incident where you are unprofessional is the attempting to murder Dr. Scanlon,
Harmon and Wexler.''
Julie nodded, then Ellen looked at her seriously, ''I agree with Dr. Boardman
assessment about you looking for conformation from others. By being uneasy
in the surgery and with your diagnosis is not a good quality for a doctor.''
''I did however, like your ability to complete multiple tasks at once.
For example, planning murders with Dr. Cooper but still managed to complete
your shifts at GH,'' Dr. Quartermaine said smiling.
''Thank you. I was good at that, wasn't I,'' smirked Julie.
Then Dr. Quartermaine had a serious look on her face, and continued, ''It
is the board final recommendation that your license must be revoke. You
can try to appeal but it useless. The fact that you confessed to five murders
and declared insane won't aid your cause.''
Julie rolled her eyes, ''Do you think I am complete idiot because I am
insane. Of course, I am not ever going to get my license back, being the
General Homicide Killer and all!!''
''Dr. Devlin! Cut the attitude. We came to Ferncliff out of our busy schedules
to complete this evaluation,'' Dr. Boardman said coldly.
''Oh, I'm sorry. Thanks for coming out for my evaluation,'' Julie said
sincerely.
''It was necessary, Dr. Devlin. This was not a pleasure trip. Have a nice
day and good luck in your future endeavors,'' Dr. Quartermaine said shaking
her head.
Dr.
Boardman and Burgess both nodded at Julie then Dr. Quartermaine all knocked
at the door, and they all departed the room.
Afterwards, Julie walked over to window and observed the snow falling outside.
Then she said sarcastically, ''Yeah, my future endeavors look real bright
in Ferncliff, Monica.''
Chapter 4- Groundhog Day
Ferncliff
Julie's Room
February 2, 1999
7:AM
''Yes, Folks, the groundhog says we will have six more weeks of winter.
So, everybody relax, and have a wonderful day!'' The radio announcer said
as the music began to play.
Julie hit the snooze button and shut off her radio. She couldn't believe
it was it Groundhog Day already, time just seemed to pass so slowly in
Ferncliff. She knew she had to get up in a little while later for her counseling
session but she was just so tired. She found her eyes getting drowsy again
and drifted off to sleep.
Suddenly, she felt someone shaking her very hard and she opened her eyes
quickly.
''What happened?'' Julie asked groggy.
''Don't you remember that Greg hit you over the head? He was holding us
hostage at the time and hit you when you trying to escape,'' Karen replied
''What about Audrey and Dr. Faulk. Are they dead,''
Julie exclaimed.
''No, they only have flesh wounds. We bandaged them up earlier and they
went home.!'' Karen said
Julie looked around and gasped when she saw a banner on the wall that read
Welcome Interns 1997. She couldn't believe it was 1997 and not 1999! The
past year and half she had experienced had nothing been but a horrible
nightmare. She wasn't the General Homicide Killer and now she had second
chance at life. But first they had to capture Cooper first and turn him
into the police.
She whispered, ''What's the plan? How do we get the gun away from Cooper?''
Karen chuckled, ''Julie, look at Cooper and notice he has already put away
the gun.''
Julie glanced over the desk and saw Cooper laughing with Jake, Joe, Chris,
Eve, and Matt with no gun in sight.
''What the hell happened?'' Julie demanded.
''Well,
why you were out, Greg and all of us
talked the whole situation out. Apparently, someone with influence booted
Greg out of the intern program. Can you believe that? Of course, we understood
why he lost it and forgive him right away. But we have already remedy his
situation by talking to Monica earlier. She agreed to drop that person
who used nepotism to become an intern at GH and reinstate Greg,'' Karen
smiled.
''Oh, I am sorry, Karen, but I am sure you will be happy to return home
to your husband Jagger,'' Julie said sincerely.
''Julie, it's not Karen who is being dropped, it's you!!'' Greg sneered
as he walked up to her.
''What? Why me?'' Julie seemed puzzled.
''Oh,
Greg showed us his collection of files that he collected about us. Apparently,
we found out that your name was not Dr. Morris but Dr. Devlin instead.
And Greg told us that your dad is the famous Dr. Bennett Devlin! No wonder
you got accepted at GH while poor Greg got booted out. And if wasn't for
Greg we wouldn't never would of discovered the truth,'' Joe yelled.
''But.. it wasn't me. Karen's grandfather pulled strings,'' Julie stuttered.
''Liar!, Karen became an intern of her own merit!'' Greg exclaimed loudly.
''And that is why Monica is droping you from the program because your dirty
little secret. So instead of having a hostage party tonight, we have decided
to have an celebration of Greg's honor. You are welcome to join us, Dr.
Devlin,'' Chris smirked.
''I can't believe this happening to me. My Dad is going to kill me when
he finds out I lost my internship,'' Julie said in shock.
''Your dad doesn't kill, you do,'' taunted Greg.
''No, I haven't killed anyone, only in my dream I did,'' Julie said protested.
''Liar! Then why did you plant the bomb that will go off any minute.!''
Greg yelled.
Suddenly she saw the bomb on the table nearby and realized they were all
going to die. In horror, she saw the clock go 2, 1,
B O O M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Suddenly, she felt someone shaking her hard and her eyes fluttered open.
''What happened?'' Julie asked groggy.
''Don't you remember that Greg hit you over the head as you tried to hold
us hostage with a bomb. But thankfully, Frank Scanlon arrived here and
disassemble it in time?'' Karen replied
Julie jumped off the floor in horror and realized she was in the same day
as before. She was terrified that a bomb might go off again killing them
again.
''What the hell is going on here? And why doesn't anyone notice we are
in the same day,'' Julie muttered.
''Julie!! Stop mumbling!'' Joe said loudly.
''Greg Cooper! He has brainwashed you to think I was holding you all hostage.!!
I tell I am innocent'' Julie shrieked
''Julie, are you crazy? Nevermind, we know that answer to that one. Greg
is one of interns for the intern party tonight that the Quartermaine hosted,''
Eve replied.
''But you had to ruin the party by holding us all hostage. Thank goodness,
Greg knock you out before you killed anyone. Julie, you need help!'' Karen
pleaded.
''I'm not crazy!!'' Julie protested.
''Yes, you are Dr. Devlin. When you got rejected, from GH, you went nuts
and decided to destroy our party. Thank goodness, Frank stop the bomb from
going off,'' Greg sneered.
Frank became nervous and said, ''Uh, Greg. I stopped the one, but just
found another bomb she planted this very second. But it is too late for
me to stop it..''
B O O M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beep!! Beep!! Beep!! Julie woke up suddenly in a cold sweat and she noticed
that the alarm had gone off again. She look around her surroundings and
sighed with relief when she saw was in her room at Ferncliff. She couldn't
believe what a strange nightmare she had about being back in 1997. She
was convinced if that alarm hadn't gone off, the dream would of gone on
and on and on. Then she proceeded to shut off her alarm and got out of
bed. She noticed it was 7:30AM on her clock and observed 1999 on her calendar.
Julie smiled, ''Thank goodness, I am home sweet home and not at that stupid
intern party. There is no place like Ferncliff!''
Chapter 5-The Apartment
Ferncliff
Julie's Room
February 9, 1999
1pm
Julie was reading a magazine on her bed when she heard knocking at her
door. She looked and smiled when saw Dr. Rimmer strolling through the door.
''Don't bother getting up, Julie, I just wanted to inform you that the
visitor's area is closed down because the room is being repainted,'' Dr.
Rimmer remarked.
''Oh, then what I do if I receive a visitor today,'' inquired Julie nervously.
''Well, I have arranged any visitors to meet in your room today. In fact,
an old friend of yours will be dropping by within the hour to see you,''
he calmly replied.
''Who is it?'' Julie asked with curiosity.
''Dr. Joe Scanlon. Is that a problem?'' Dr. Rimmer asked.
''No, I'm just surprised, because I did once attempt to kill him, that's
all,'' Julie said shrugging her shoulders.
''Well, you can ask him at 2pm. Bye, Julie. Have a nice day,'' Dr. Rimmer
said as he knocked on the door and departed the room.
A hour later
Julie paced back and forth as she waited for her guest to arrive. Suddenly
she heard the door open, and saw Joe walked in causally into the room.
''Joe! It's so nice of you to drop by,'' Julie exclaimed then she hugged
him.
Joe appeared shocked for a moment then he pulled away quickly, ''This isn't
a social visit, Julie. We have some business regarding your apartment in
our house,''
''But Lee informed me that he has taken care of all my apartment expenses,''
Julie said puzzled.
''Yes, he did, that is not why I am here. Frank and I have a proposition
for you. Instead of shipping your stuff to your mother's place in Chicago.
We are proposing of opening a Julie Devlin Museum down in the basement
and we want to pay for your endorsement. You see, people are fascinated
about where you used to live. And you know, they are willing to pay big
bucks just to see your old haunting grounds. So, by allowing us to keep
your property at our place, you will receive 10% of our profits. If you
approve, we will let you have some say in the museum doings. Your input
would be greatly appreciated by Frank and me,'' Joe said excitedly.
''Isn't a museum expensive to set up. Do you two have enough funds to start
this project?'' Julie asked.
''Oh, Frank came into some extra money due to an stock tip that was recommended
by Chris Ramsey. And that cash will take care of any expenses we might
have with the museum,'' Joe grinned.
''Frank is friends with Chris Ramsey, now!! I thought those two hated each
other,'' Julie said in shock.
''Apparently, they bonded when they helped rescue Lucy, Eve and Kevin at
the Stanton house. They been hanging out ever since,'' Joe replied casually.
''And that doesn't bother you that they are friends!!'' Julie exclaimed.
''Well, no, Frank is a big boy. He has a right to be friends whoever he
wants to be. I still don't trust Ramsey, but maybe my older brother will
be a good influence on him,'' Joe said hopefully.
''Frank should watch his back when hanging out Chris. Don't you know, that
Ramsey only looks out one person--himself!'' Julie said sarcastically.
''Whatever, Julie. I am not here to discuss my brother's friends, okay.
So, do we have deal or not?'' Joe asked seriously.
''I want to have 40% of the profit. Why should you and Frank get most of
the money about a museum about me,'' Julie said coldly.
''10% Julie! Take it or the museum will never happen. We can just have
big garage sale for your property instead. And as landlords we have ever
right to do it to you. Got it, Devlin!'' Joe threatened.
''Ok, deal!! I guess 10% is better than nothing!!'' Julie sneered.
''Excellent, Frank will be very happy to hear that,'' Joe said shaking
her hand.
Suddenly, the door opened and without warning they saw a paper coming out
of nowhere hurling towards them.
''Watch out!'' yelled Julie pushing him to the floor.
''You would think living in a mental hospital, that the paper boy might
be a little nicer. But no, he is much more worse here than when I lived
at my apartment,'' Julie complained.
Joe started to laugh at her comment as he began to picked up her paper.
His expression changed when he read the main headline and article below.
Suddenly, he threw the paper down in disgust and yelled, ''I will contact
you later about the museum, Julie. I'm sorry, but I can't stay, I have
real urgent business I really have to take care of.''
Then he knocked violently on the door and tore out of the room.
''Well, Well, atleast I don't have to live with Scanlon temper anymore.
That's one good benefit at living at Ferncliff,'' Julie chuckled.
She then picked up the paper off the floor and grinned, ''Well, Well, no
wonder Chris and Frank are such good buddies . They went behind everybody's
back and made a mult-million deal with Lance for the development of DL56.
I can't believe that Frank was lying to me being off DL56 and that Chris
was giving him the drug this whole time. How could Frank do to me!!''
She paused and said angrily, ''Frank and Chris will pay for cutting me
out of profits for DL56 that rightfully belong to my family. Someday I
will have my revenge!!''
Julie laughed wickedly then turned to the next page of the paper

6-Valentine's Day
Ferncliff Visitor's Room
February 14, 1999
5 pm
Julie sat at the table waiting for Detective Garcia. She wondered what
he wanted from her. She had already confessed everything about the murders
to him and she had nothing more to add to her last statement. Suddenly,
her thoughts were interrupted by Garcia swinging the door wide open.
''Happy Valentine's Day, Julie!'' Garcia exclaimed as he came into the
room.
Julie observed that he was carrying roses and a box of heart candy in his
arms.
''What?
Oh my gosh!! I forget today was Valentine's Day! I can't believe you would
bring these gifts for me. You are such a sweetheart Garcia. I mean, Alec,''
Julie gushed out.
''Just call me, Garcia, okay. Julie, I thought you must be so lonely at
Ferncliff and I wanted to give you a Valentine's Gift,'' Garcia smiled.
Then Julie pulled the roses and the heart candy box out his arms and eagerly
ripped the lid off.
''Oh, my gosh! Almond Roca. How did you ever remember that this is my absolute
favorite candy?'' Julie asked excitedly.
''Don't you recall that one time we were chatting at your PC Jail cell
and I said.....''

Port Charles Jail
''Julie, I know that someone as sweet as you could never be the General
Homicide Murderer. I am sure the jury could only come up with one verdit:
not guilty,'' Garcia smiled.
''Of course, they would never convict an innocent person,'' Julie lied.
''So, let's change the subject. I'm sure you are sick to death of discussing
these murders..So tell me what is your favorite candy that you have missed
the most being locked up here,'' Garcia asked.
''Almond Roca, I keep asking Frank to bring me some but he keeps forgetting,''
Julie whined.
''Speaking of Almond Roca, I want to relate a funny experience I once had
with Taggert....''

Sonny's Penthouse
June 6, 1997
Around 2pm
''Sonny, we have a search warrant for your place. I know you have illegal
drugs hidden in your apartment, since I saw you yesterday carrying that
mysterious package,'' said Taggert smugly.
''Go ahead. Garcia and you can search the place to your heart content!
You won't find anything,'' Sonny said calmly.
''That's what you think, Sonny,'' Garcia smirked.
A hour later
''Garcia!!!! Look, I have found a secret compartment hidden behind these
shelves and I found this package inside,'' Taggert exclaimed in Sonny's
walking closet.
''Well, open it, Taggert!'' Garcia said calmly.
Taggert ripped open the box and groaned, ''It's Almond Roca!''
Suddenly, they could hear loud laughter behind them. They whipped around
and saw it was Jason and Sonny.
''No one is allowed to touch my Almond Roca, not Johnny, Jason and especially
not Brenda. They all know what will happen if they touch it. It's mine
only and I will not share with anyone,'' Sonny said calmly.
''Brenda learned. One time, Sonny caught her eating it and he wouldn't
talk to her for a whole week,'' Jason said without showing any expression
on his face.
''Wow, that's rough,'' Taggert chuckled.
''Since our business is completed here, we now will be leaving,'' Garcia
said pleasantly.
''And Sonny, we will be watching you,'' Taggert smugly said.
''Next time, I will pick up some more Almond Roca, I will be sure to let
you know,'' Sonny chuckled.
''It was pretty funny,'' Garcia smirked as they walked out of the bedroom.
Taggert glared at him and said nothing as they walked down the stairs and
left the apartment.

Back at PC Jail
''Oh, that is funny story, Garcia. Taggert must felt like total idiot when
he realized it was Almond Roca not illegal drugs,'' Julie chuckled in her
jail cell.
Garcia laughed for a minute then said, ''It became hilarious when we reported
the search to Mac. He just laughed and asked Taggert if he planned to bring
Sonny on illegal possession of Almond Roca. But Julie I really have to
back to work. But keep the faith, I am sure you will be set free soon.''
Julie smirked, ''I know I will, because I am completely innocent.''

PC Jail Flashback Over

''I'll sure fooled everyone back then. Everyone really believe I was so
sweet and couldn't kill a fly,'' Julie chuckled.
''Except for Victor. He knew all along that you were the General Homicide
Murderer,'' Garcia exclaimed.
''I should of killed him when I had a chance at Jasmine Island, but no
Frank had to come to rescue me. Like I ever need rescuing. If I ever escape,
Victor will die first,'' Julie said coldly.
Garcia looked uncomfortable, then smiled weakly, ''I've need to leave now.
Bye Julie.''
Then Garcia knocked at the door and ran out of the room.
''I guess murder isn't his cup of tea. Oh, Well, now I can eat this wonderful
Almond Roca that Garcia has left me,'' Julie smiled
Then she picked up a piece and took a small bite, ''Delicious. This is
the best Valentine's Day I ever had,!''

Chapter 7-The Gift Basket
Ferncliff Visitor's Room
February 24, 1999
9 am
Julie stared out the window as she waited for her guests, Lucy and Eve,
to arrive. She wondered what those two idiots wanted from her. At least
it would be amusing to listen for what they might have to say her. Finally
the door opened and Lucy and Eve entered the room.
''You know, I thought you two got the message that I didn't like you when
I'll bricked you two into a wall,'' Julie said sarcastically as she walked
toward them.
''Oh, we received that message loud and clear, Julie!'' Eve said coldly.
''What Evie means,'' Lucy said looking annoyed, ''Is that we understand
why you bricked us up into a wall. You were in a desperate situation and
made a wrong decision. I'm sure you would came back and saved us.''
''Do you think I care that you two have forgiven me? And for your information,
I wanted you guys to die that day and I still do!!'' Julie sneered.
''Oh, Julie, you know that kind of attitude, will not help you get better...For
your information, Eve and I wanted to let you know that we are your friends
still. And we even brought you this lovely gift basket. There is blueberry
muffins in here with various types of jams. My bestests friend, Felicia,
made them fresh this morning especially for you. This is her own special
recipe, so please enjoy them,'' Lucy said cheerfully.
Julie eyed the muffins, then said, ''They do look yummy, but have you and
Eve lost her minds!!! I don't want to be your friends, ever!! Lucy, your
with your endless chattering drives me nuts. Can't you shut up for one
minute so I could get a word in. The only peace and quiet, I ever got from
you, is after I bricked you up in a wall.... And Eve, I disliked you as
my roommate, and now I just plain hate you. Do you ever wonder why I framed
you for the General Homicide Murders. It was because I hated you!!!'',
yelled Julie.
''Julie, don't hold back. Tell me how you really feel,'' Eve said sarcastically
''Julie, you don't have to mean to us. We only want to be your friend,
that's all. And we have totally forgiven and forgotten about the brick
incident. Now all we really care about is trying to help you get better,''
Lucy said pleasantly as Eve nodded in agreement.
''You know, Frank and Karen tried to help me too. And I tell you that exact
thing I told them which is: stay out of my life. I don't want to be your
friends, so stop trying! And by the way, I am a serial murder and don't
want be redeemed,'' growled Julie.
''Speaking of Frank, Julie, I had lunch with him the other day. He's pretty
excited about the deal he and Chris made with Lance Pharmaceuticals. Those
two are going to be so filthy rich!!'' Eve said excitedly.
''You had lunch with Frank???? You got to be kidding?? Wasn't Frank the
same person, who stalk and put body parts in your Chinese Food?'' Julie
asked in unbelief.
''Oh, that's ancient history, Julie. That's was DL56 Frank who did all
that stuff to me. But Frank has been off that drug since January, and ever
since he apologized, we became friends. Frank is like my best friend now,''
Eve grinned.
''Unbelievable. I thought Frank had better sense that make friends with
the woman that slept with my father!'' Julie sneered.
''Well, you took care of that problem, didn't you. By sticking that pen
into this heart and killing him,'' Eve smirked.
''And I'll do the exact same thing to you someday, you can count on that,
Eve!'' Julie barked.
''That's it!! Lucy and I will not be putting up with this rudeness from
you any longer. We're leaving, Julie. Oh, by the way, please enjoy the
muffins,'' Eve smiled.
''I will, since neither one of you made it. They are the only good thing
from your so called visit. Now leave, so I can eat these in peace!'' Julie
said picking up the basket and eyeing the muffins.
''Well, I hope you are much better mood if we ever drop by again. Have
a nice day, ta!,'' Lucy said as they departed the room leaving Julie alone
at the table.
''These muffins look delicious!'' Julie said excitedly as she grabbed one
out of the basket.
Meanwhile, out on the parking lot, Lucy and Eve started laughing.
''Oh, your plan worked brilliantly, Lucy. We finally got revenge on Julie
for bricking us up!'' Eve smirked.
''Definitely, I have a feeling Julie will love Felicia's poisoned muffins.
I know that Ryan Chamberlain did!'' Lucy giggled
Eve grinned, ''I'm sure he love them. Let's get going or I'll be late for
work.''
Lucy nodded as the ladies got into Eve's car.

Julie's Room
One hour later
Julie laid on the floor, groaning. She felt sick to her stomach and knew
that Lucy and Eve must put something in those muffins.
She muttered, ''Felicia's special muffins, I say they are pretty deadly
to eat. But I am declaring war on Lucy and Eve!! Nobody poisons Julie Devlin,
and gets away with it!!''
